With the right accessories, even the “rebel” #naked by Honda softens its “American” vibe to become a more eclectic motorcycle. #kappa has been doing its research and has created some ad hoc equipment just for this Rebel.
Affordable to many, available for purchase by new A2 licence holders, easy to drive and a 69 cm ground to seat height (which makes it a good target for a female audience) are all aspects that are helping to make this feisty medium-powered model more popular. But the #cmxrebel appears to have been conceived for solitary bikers who don’t want frills (judging by the “jump seat” for the passenger). But in actual fact, this minimal base is just perfect for customisation. And that’s where #kappa comes into play, as it demonstrated with its “signature” on this motorcycle at the autumn motorcycle show stand and, again, at the MBE in #verona.
THE #kappa VERSION
IMPROVING COMFORT
The brand does this by offering the owner of the #cmxrebel two specific accessories: the KTS1160B passenger backrest, an elegant black Sissy bar with a luggage carrier and fitting kit AL1160A which makes it possible to mount the 100AKL/ALBK aluminium spoiler (natural/black, size 20.5x26.5 cm, above the front headlight. Alternatively, you can opt for the more protective windscreen 140AK/SK (clear or smoked, with sizes 35x41 cm.
IMPROVING PROTECTION
Of the bike in this case, by choosing the specific KN1160 tubular engine shield. In polished black, like the frame of the bike, tube diameter 25 mm.
ADDING LUGGAGE
This is the richest section that #kappa offers. The user can add just the KR1160 rear luggage rackin painted polished black tubularto which a large bag or a Monokey compact top case (paired with the E251 plate) or Monolock, can be fixed.
If you need more space onboard, the specific TMT1160K side mounts make it possible to fix one or two CR601U bags to the sides of the rear wheel: they are part of the Cafè Racer range, they match perfectly to the CMX line and have a quick lock/unlock system. If the idea is for two of you to set-off for a few days, there’s nothing to stop you adding a matching tank bag (in this case the CR600, with magnets). KAPPA’S collection of “soft bags” gives you much more choice, with greater or lesser load capacity. The photo of the bike shows the alternative created using two 25 litre RA316 soft side bags and the 20 litre RA315 tank bag with magnets.
