Prada opens in Maui
Prada opens its fifth store in Hawaii, on the island of Maui, inside the prestigious “The Shops at Wailea” mall.
The space, designed by architect Roberto Baciocchi, covers a total area of approximately 170 square metres and houses the women’s and men’s leather goods and accessories collections.
The façade is clad in black Marquinia marble and is characterised by slim steel profiles framing the entrance, the large display windows and light boxes.
The store comprises a succession of rooms, each featuring a different atmosphere.
The space dedicated to the women’s collections is defined by the signature black-and-white marble chequered flooring – a legacy of Prada’s identity worldwide – and green fabric-clad walls with alcoves exalting the display of the product, an original reinterpretation of Prada’s iconic display niches.
The area housing the men’s collections is characterised by green fabric-clad walls with precious steel and crystal display cases.
Polished steel and crystal display counters with drawers covered in coloured saffiano leather and green velvet sofas create an elegant atmosphere.
