Bitossi Ceramiche - Venere Bianca

Archetypal shapes and the tactility of terracotta: Venere Bianca is the new project that Bitossi Ceramiche has developed and produced for Matteo Thun Atelier.

Designed by Matteo Thun in collaboration with Benedetto Fasciana and produced by Bitossi Ceramiche, Venere Bianca is a limited edition collection of ten terracotta vases, all thrown by hand and decorated with the great technique of the ceramicist master potters of the Tuscan company.

The collection is inspired by the medieval containers for medicines: the ten vessels that compose the collection also want to be a tribute to the ideal woman of Montelupo Fiorentino, where Bitossi Ceramiche is located.
The special finish is the result of the impressions left on the fresh clay by fabrics and embossings. Each individual vase represents different archetypal forms and tell of a formal purity that arises out of any aesthetic category and touches the essence of the material, the terracotta.

The harmony of the different proportions puts the pots in a constant dialogue with each other and maintain the identity of each individual element clear and distinct inside the group.
