Catellani & Smith illuminates the ”modus vivendi” bearing the name LAGO

‘There are different ways of living and different ways of feeling at home’.
By interpreting the ‘claim’ of Lago, Catellani & Smith has illuminated, with its lighting creations, one of the locations of LAGO INTERIOR LIFE NETWORK #WelcomeHome, which can be visited throughout the period of opening of Expo. A prestigious apartment that has been fitted out in via San Tomaso, just a stone’s throw from Piazza Cordusio and the Duomo, was presented at Milan Design Week and welcomes both professionals and the public in general of Fuorisalone, showing them an extraordinary concept for living for which Catellani & Smith was chosen to design the lighting. The apartment, thanks to a further collaboration with Airbnb, will be open for use until October so that the quality and value of Italian furnishing accessories can be brought to the attention of a greater number of people. During installation, emphasis was placed on the concept of ‘Feeling at Home’, with rooms designed for unwinding and relaxing, as well as sharing all the positive sensations a home environment generates in a person, not just when in his own home, but in the places he visits on a daily basis. In this way, lighting has taken on a key role in creating the right atmosphere and fostering a feeling of well-being and relaxation: a warm cosiness that is perfectly expressed in the Lederam collection and in the other extraordinary creations of Enzo Catellani, from Uomo della Luce to Turciù, Stchu Moon, Post Krisi and Olstrass. Catellani & Smith lighting has proved to be the ideal choice for complementing Lago furnishings with their contemporary, stunning style, because it is synonymous not only with design, but also splendour, intense impact and elegance. ‘To make beautiful things, you must make them in a beautiful place’, said Enzo Catellani…and what better place to create and design than a place that reminds you of home?
