Maison & Objet Parigi 2013

A sofa with maxi cushions. A sweet 1950s armchair. A bed with padded headboard. A mirror with an ironically art deco feel. Three low organically-shaped tables. These are the pieces that make up the new collection as a result of the long-standing collaborative relationship between Baxter and Paola Navone. They are items inspired by apparently different worlds, brought together by a sort of light and sophisticated Mediterranean spirit: an incredibly special Mediterranean spirit made of sun and sea, of all shades of yellow and blue. Made of organically-shaped décor, reminiscent of the 1950s. The colours of the collection are greys and blues: which are never just greys and just blues. The materials are leather, softened and softly stitched until it seems like fabric, in the Baxter way, and also natural stone and wood. Every detail is designed with precision tailoring.  So every piece is special in its own right and different from the others...
