Paris win FIBA 3x3 World Tour Wuxi Masters 2023

Wuxi (China) - Paris (FRA) celebrated a momentous victory at the FIBA 3x3 World Tour Wuxi Masters 2023 tournament. They clinched their inaugural World Tour title of the year by defeating no less than Ub Huishan NE (SRB) with a 22-11 show of force in the final held on November 5 in Wuxi.

Paris achieved a momentous victory, especially after falling short in so many unsuccessful attempts to win a FIBA 3x3 World Tour Masters earlier in the year. They fell short in Marseille, Prague, Debrecen, Cebu, and Amsterdam, but they got the job done here. In this tournament, they demonstrated their skills by topping their group on the first day and maintaining a winning streak in the knockout rounds on the second day. Their path to the Final included thrilling victories against Saitama ALPHAS EXE (JPN) and Ulaanbaatar MMC Energy (MGL). In the championship match, they faced Ub, the top-seeded team led by Strahinja Stojacic and Dejan Majstorovic.

As anticipated, the showdown between Ub and Paris was highly competitive. However, Franck Seguela stole the show by hitting 6-of-8 from beyond the 2-point arc. His hot shooting was too much even for Ub, which ran out of steam amidst Seguela's torrid 2-point barrage.

Not surprisingly, Seguela received the Most Valuable Player (MVP) award for the tournament. The French stalwart showcased his offensive prowess throughout the event. He led the entire field in scoring with 42 points, Player Value (47.2), and 2-pointers made (12).

In the crucial moments of the match, Seguela and the towering Jules Rambaut emerged as the game-changers for Paris. Their outstanding performances in the late stages secured Paris' first World Tour Masters title of the year.

Seguela's performance in the Final included 14 points, 5 rebounds, 1 highlight, and those 6 amazing 2-pointers, earning him the prestigious title of World Tour MVP.

In the individual competitions, Majstorovic tallied 13 points to take the Little Swan Shoot-out Contest crown, while Wan Lei prevailed in the Maurice Lacroix Dunk Contest.
