De castelli's ‘sculpt’ cabinet wins the archiproducts design award 2022 milan, 23 november 2022

The Sculpt cabinet designed by #francescoforcellini for De Castelli is the Furniture category winner of the Archiproducts #design Award 2022, a prize that recognises and celebrates excellence in international #design through the selection of products that are distinguished by creativity and innovation, encouraging new collaborations and synergy between designers and brands.

Sculpt is a brass cabinet with sculptural forms, characterised by an essential yet textural structure, the maximum expression of the age-old metal hammering and rounding techniques that have been adopted by the brand, innovating and improving upon them. The soft yet well-defined concavities of the hinged doors are outlined by sharp, crisp edges that mark the rhythm of delicately juxtaposed light and shadow, underscored by a surprising finish that gives the cabinet the elegance and lustre of silk.

A large, authoritative jury composed of leading architects, designers, critics and curators from the international community has selected Sculpt by De Castelli for its fine #design and high quality, the result of constant dialogue and experimentation between the use of age-old artisan techniques and cutting-edge technology which come together to define the company's distinctive aesthetics.

The #archiproductsdesignawards ceremony was held in Milan on 23 November 2022 at the Visconti Pavilion, 58 Via Tortona, with the presentation of the sculptural trophy to all the 2022 winners.
