A one-off DS 4 E-TENSE 225 for Jean-Éric Vergne, DS Automobiles ambassador
- DS Automobiles is renewing double Formula E champion Jean-Éric Vergne’s role as Brand ambassador in 2023.
- Jean-Éric Vergne is continuing his commitment to DS Automobiles’ energy transition and is contributing to the development of the electrified designs that are central to the Brand’s evolution.
- To celebrate this #partnership, DS Automobiles has given Jean-Éric Vergne the keys to a one-off #ds4etense225 PERFORMANCE LINE +. This joint design between the driver and the DS DESIGN STUDIO PARIS team features an exclusive livery with an extended bi-tone finish.
Jean-Éric Vergne, the driver with the most titles in Formula E history and employed by DS Automobiles as Brand ambassador for more than 3 years, has received the keys to a one-off #ds4etense225 PERFORMANCE LINE +. This model is a way for the Brand to acknowledge this significant #partnership with the double Formula E champion who’s involved in its development of future designs and the acceleration of its electrification strategy.
Jean-Éric Vergne chose DS 4 because of its amazing proportions, its athletic and aerodynamic styling and its incredible light signature. In its most dynamic PERFORMANCE LINE + specification, DS 4 features an Alcantara® interior enhanced by a perforated leather steering wheel with a forged carbon insert, finished with exclusive door sills bearing the double champion’s signature.
Exterior personalization is the result of work carried out by DS DESIGN STUDIO PARIS. With this design, the team was committed to recreating the directions given by the driver, making it unique in a “pursuit of refined harmony”. The bi-tone finish subtly combines a new Satin Anthracite Grey with a Lacquered Black on the roof and extending to the bonnet, a first in a production DS. This is enhanced with carbon trim applied to the bottom of the doors, the rear bumper and the front splitter. The black line graphics emphasize the sporty nature of this DS 4.
The bonnet badge features the “JEV” logo, which signs off this exclusive design.
This DS 4 has a 225 horsepower plug-in hybrid powertrain. #ds4etense225 benefits from the expertise of DS PERFORMANCE and its four titles (Drivers and Teams) won in the 2019 and 2020 Formula E Championships, enabling it to achieve up to 62 km in zero emissions mode on the WLTP combined cycle.
