FILA Tennis Athlete Karolina Pliskova Captures the Brisbane International Title
FILA sponsored athlete #karolinapliskova, has started the 2017 #tennis season with a title run at the #brisbane International in #brisbane, Queensland. With this win, Pliskova has secured her 7th WTA Tour title.
Pliskova's dominant serve and powerful play led her to the #brisbane finals. She defeated her opponent Alize Cornet 6-0 6-3 to claim the women's singles crown, dropping only one set the entire tournament.
Following her #brisbane victory, Pliskova will rise to a career-high 5 in the WTA Tour rankings ahead of the this year's first Grand Slam. Pliskova, the women's singles runner-up at the 2016 US Open, will now compete at the Australian Open, beginning on January 16.
