Jordan brand classic returns to Brooklyn

During his 18-year professional basketball career, Michael Jordan created a legacy of greatness through his work ethic, dedication to the game of basketball and legendary competitive drive. Those qualities have been adopted by the #jordanbrand and will once again come to life this weekend at the 15th annual #jordanbrand Classic.

The #jordanbrand Classic features the top male and female high school basketball players from around the world. These young athletes, alongside participants from the International and Regional games, share a competitive spirit and passion for their craft. Throughout its history, the #jordanbrand Classic has showcased some of the game's greatest players, including Carmelo Anthony, Chris Paul, Blake Griffin and Jabari Parker.

For the second year’s #jordanbrand Classic will commence on Friday at 1:30pm EST with the International game, which will include 40 players from over 20 different countries — athletes who earned their way into the game by competing in the #jordanbrand International Camp this March in Zagreb, Croatia.

For the second year in a row, the JBC will feature a National girls game at 3:30om EST. The girls game, which was the brainchild of Jordan athlete and WNBA Champion Maya Moore, showcases the top female high scool basketball players from around the country. Notably, this year’s team will feature Erin Boley (National player of the year), Lauren Cox and Nancy Mulkey.

The NYC Regional boys game will follow at 5:30pm EST.

The #jordanbrand Classic will conclude with its headline event as the National team, featuring the best athletes from the East and West, step onto the court at 8:00pm EST.
