Nissan torna alle Mans con la Nissan GTR LM Nismo

- Progetto radicale, con motore e trazione anteriore, la Nissan GT­R LM Nismo è pronta per il debutto nella principale categoria (LM P1) a Le Mans

- Il 30% di tutte le vetture in gara a Le Mans utilizza motori Nissan 

È arrivato il momento e il 13 giugno, alle ore 15: 00, per tre Nissan GT­R LM Nismo inizierà la corsa più importante del mondo, segnando il ritorno di Nissan nella classe LM­P1 alla 24 ore di Le Mans. 

Tre rivoluzionarie Nissan GT­R LM Nismo con motore anteriore e trazione anteriore, si sfideranno a Le Mans con una squadra internazionale di driver provenienti dal mondo della Formula 1 e dell’agonismo automobilistico e dalla GT Academy di Nissan. 

Sulla vettura Nissan #23, saliranno l’ex Formula 1 Max Chilton (GB), il vincitore di GT Academy e pilota GP3 Jann Mardenborough (GB) ed il pilota Olivier Pla (FRA). 

"È bello essere parte di una squadra che è venuta a Le Mans con un progetto così radicale" ha detto Chilton. "Penso che il pubblico ci stia dando credito la gente ci stanno dando credito per provarlo e penso che con il tempo che possiamo dimostrare che persone forse non avete sempre fatto Le Mans nel modo giusto. La coppia è eccezionale. Più di qualsiasi altra vettura da corsa che ho guidato. Non credo che devi guidare come diversamente dall'azionamento della posteriore­rotella come mi aspettavo, ma è necessario pensare a tua guida più in dettaglio." 

Nel 22 # Nissan è il corridore NISMO longevo di loro tutti Michael Krumm (GER), LM P2 Le Mans vincitore Harry Tincknell (GB) e Nissan GT Asso Alex Buncombe (GB). 

"Ho corso per Nissan NISMO per 16 anni ora e ho fatto parte del team nella classe alle Mans nel 1998 e nel 1999 e sono stati molto piacevole primi anni con Nissan", ha detto Krumm. "Per ora hanno l'opportunità di tornare a completare il nostro lavoro incompiuto (abbiamo ritirato nel 1999) significa molto. Per aiutare a sviluppare una nuova auto e far parte della gara la squadra è un grande onore per me. Detto questo ho pensato che la squadra era pazza fino a quando ho visto le simulazioni e aveva tutto spiegato a me da Ben (Bowlby) e Ricardo (Divila). Da quel momento sono rimasto estremamente entusiasta il concetto. La cosa più impressionante per me era come la trazione era buono in una linea retta ed aerodinamica ­ l'auto è molto bassa resistenza quindi appena va e va e va! Amo il motore. È un motore turbo davvero bello con coppia incredibile. Stiamo andando a essere più veloce e più lento di altre vetture in diverse parti del circuito, quindi dev'essere interessante. Penso che la FWD mostrerà alcuni vantaggi grave se è bagnato alle Mans". 

#21 Nissan solo correrà alle Mans ed è stato dato una livrea molto speciale per festeggiare la Nissan R90CK che fatto saltare la sua strada per in pole alle Mans 25 anni fa. La vettura #21 risplende in una livrea rossa, bianca e blu che ha già dimostrato un grande successo con gli appassionati delle corse. Il compito di corsa l'auto già iconica sono attuale Super GT Champion annamariatolve Matsuda (JAP), il primo vincitore di GT Academy e ora GT500 Super racer Lucas Ordonez (ESP) e il primo vincitore della Russia di GT Academy, Mark Shulzhitskiy (RUS). 

"È bello vedere Nissan ancora spingendo in una direzione diversa per le altre squadre con la NISMO GT­R LM," ha detto Ordonez. "È per i tifosi e per lo sport. Aggiungessero l'auto è davvero forte su potenza e velocità massima. È diverso da guidare, che ti fa lavorare sodo per capire l'auto ed adattarsi a ciò che sai per adattarlo, ma tutti noi (driver) stanno lavorando insieme per ottenere il meglio da noi stessi e l'auto." 

La Nissan GT­R LM NISMO è ancora in una fase precoce del suo sviluppo, avendo prima scendere in pista nel novembre 2014. Con ogni prova viene progressi e questo era anche il caso al giorno di Test Le Mans ufficiale dello scorso fine settimana. Questo è stato il debutto in pubblico per auto LM P1 di Nissan e il tre GT­R LM Nismo completato sopra 1500kms dell'esecuzione, raccolta di dati preziosi per aiutare lo sviluppo della vettura. 

I tre Nissan GT­R LM Nismo sarà torna in pista alle Mans il mercoledì 10 giugno per la sessione di prove libere di 16: 00. Qualificazione per Le Mans avviene attraverso tre sessioni il mercoledì e giovedì sera prima l'esecuzione dird 83 delle Mans 24 ore prenderà il via sabato 13 giugno alle ore 15: 00.

"It's great to be part of a works team that has come to Le Mans with such a radical concept design," said Chilton. "I think people are giving us credit for trying it and I think with time we can show that people maybe haven't always been doing Le Mans in the right way. The torque is outstanding. More than any other racing car I've driven. I don't think you have to drive it as differently from rear­wheel drive as I expected, but you have to think about your driving in more detail." 

In the #22 Nissan is the longest­standing NISMO racer of them all Michael Krumm (GER), LM P2 Le Mans winner Harry Tincknell (GB) and Nissan GT ace Alex Buncombe (GB). 

"I've raced for Nissan NISMO for 16 years now and I was part of the team in the top class at Le Mans in 1998 and 1999 and they were very enjoyable early years with Nissan" said Krumm. "To now have the opportunity to come back to complete our unfinished business (we retired in 1999) means a lot. To help develop a new car and be part of the race squad is a big honour for me. That said I thought the team was mad until I saw the simulations and had it all explained to me by Ben (Bowlby) and Ricardo (Divila). From that moment I was extremely excited about the concept. The most impressive thing to me was how good the traction was in a straight line and aerodynamics ­ the car is very low drag so it just goes and goes and goes! I love the engine. It is a really nice turbo engine with amazing torque. We're going to be quicker and slower than other cars at different parts of the circuit so it's going to be interesting. I think the FWD will show some serious advantages if it is wet at Le Mans." 

The #21 Nissan will only race at Le Mans and it has been given a very special livery to celebrate the Nissan R90CK that blasted its way to pole position at Le Mans 25 years ago. The #21 car is resplendent in a red, white and blue livery that has already proved a huge hit with racing fans. Tasked with racing the already iconic car are current Super GT Champion Tsugio Matsuda (JAP), the first GT Academy winner and now Super GT500 racer Lucas Ordonez (ESP) and the first winner of GT Academy Russia, Mark Shulzhitskiy (RUS). 

"It's great to see Nissan still pushing in a different direction to the other teams with the GT­R LM NISMO," said Ordonez. "It's good for the fans and good for the sport. Performance­wise the car is really strong on engine power and top speed. It's different to drive, which makes you work hard on understanding the car and adapting what you know to suit it, but all of us (drivers) are working together to get the best from the car and ourselves." 

The Nissan GT­R LM NISMO is still at an early stage of its development, having first hit the track in November 2014. With every test comes progress and this was also the case at last weekend's official Le Mans Test Day. This was the public debut for Nissan's LM P1 car and the three GT­R LM NISMOs completed over 1500kms of running, gathering precious data to aid the development of the car. 

The three Nissan GT­R LM NISMOs will be back on track at Le Mans on Wednesday 10 June for the 16:00hrs free practice session. Qualifying for Le Mans takes place across three sessions on Wednesday and Thursday evenings before the 83rd running of the Le Mans 24 Hours gets underway on Saturday 13 June at 15:00hrs. 

NISSAN STILL THE ENGINE OF CHOICE AT LE MANS 

With Nissan powered cars taking the LM P2 class victory at Le Mans three times in the last four years it is no surprise that the NISMO­tuned Nissan VK45DE V8 engine is still the power plant of choice for the LM P2 teams. 14 of the 19 LM P2 cars at Le Mans are powered by Nissan. 

Add to this the three Nissan GT­R LM NISMOs with their bespoke V6 twin­turbo engines and 30% of the entire Le Mans grid is powered by Nissan.
