Diabla reveals its unique way to #RedesigntheWorld at Madrid Design Festival 2022

Comunicato Stampa disponibile solo in lingua originale.

• The brand presents COSTURAS, its first collaboration with Teresa Sapey, alongside with BALCONI, designed by Oiko #design and made of recycled plastic retrieved from packaging.
Within the program “Design, craftsmanship, new materials and color studies” organized by Gandia Blasco Group on the occasion of the #madrid #design Festival 2022, Diabla has presented new collections of outdoor furniture and promoted exhibitions of contemporary art and zerokilometer recycled materials. The visitors of the flagship store of the group Gandía Blasco have been able to glimpse in exclusive
at Diabla’s first collaboration with the renowned architect and interior designer Teresa Sapey: COSTURAS, the original poufs that unite under the same concept, the square and the circle, two  essential geometric shapes, in a versatile piece of furniture as iconic, fine and simple as a baseball.

Another novelty of the newly released 2022 Annex of Diabla that has landed in #madrid is VALENTINA UP, by #alejandragandiablasco. Loungers and armchairs are the star pieces of this renewed collection and they pay tribute to the warmth and comfort of the cushions, taking them out of their habit and raising them on fun serrated legs of iron rod. The brand has also focused on innovative materials. The BALCONI chair, which will become part of the Diabla catalogue, is a creation of Oiko #design, a #design and industrial development studio that specializes in the science and engineering of materials for the transition to circular economy. Unveiled in #madrid, this new #design reinterprets the most characteristic structure of the folding balcony chair through curved tube in open arches, and recycled plastic is the protagonist. BALCONI is born from a quiet, honest and recognizable formal solution that embraces a new material such as recycled plastic retrieved from soap and detergent containers found in the yellow container. It is a material that in both its aesthetics and in its scented smell communicates its origin, speaks of its previous life and how it has found life again in the form of a resistant and comfortable ribbon. Diabla will also be present at Dulce Agua, curated by Ana Domínguez Siemens, art historian, journalist, writer and #design curator, and it will be on display from the 24th of March at Centro. The space will host objects related to the world of water and solutions to problems related to it, as well as projects whose intention is to draw attention to these issues and make them more evident to the citizens. The exhibition will include new interpretations of bottles and jugs, such as the botijo LA SIESTA by Diabla, designed to eliminate single-use plastic bottles. Diabla and his team celebrate the great reception of the novelties and the artistic activities it has promoted on the occasion of its participation throughout the 5th edition of this benchmark festival in the #design industry. They also thank the support of both the organization and the media and all those who have visited their space during the #madrid #design Festival 2022.
