Ultimo round all'Estoril per il Kawasaki Puccetti Racing che annuncia la squadra SS 2021: Can Oncu e Philipp Oettl.

Il #kawasakipuccettiracing si appresta a disputare le ultime gare dei campionati mondiali Superbike e Supersport 2020 all'autodromo dell'Estoril, in Portogallo.
Nel precedente round di Magny Cours in Supersport Lucas aveva conquistato sotto la pioggia la sua prima vittoria stagionale, portando a sette il numero dei podi conquistati e consolidando il suo secondo posto in classifica. E' stato un weekend sfortunato invece per #philippoettl, che resta comunque in lotta per il terzo posto nella generale, mentre in Superbike Xavi Fores ha incontrato qualche difficoltà sulla pista bagnata.
All'Estoril i tre piloti del #kawasakipuccettiracing disputeranno l'ottavo ed ultimo round con l'obiettivo di concludere al meglio il campionato 2020, mentre il Team Principal Manuel Puccetti è concentrato sulla prossima stagione ed ha definito i propri piloti sia in Superbike che in Supersport. Dopo aver annunciato la promozione di Lucas Mahias nella massima categoria, il manager italiano è lieto di annunciare che il team della Supersport sarà composto dal confermato #philippoettl e dalla promessa Can Oncu.

Philipp Oettl è nato a ad Ainring in Germania il 3 maggio 1996. Dopo aver disputato tre stagioni nella Rookies Cup, nel 2013 ha disputato il mondiale Moto3, dove è rimasto sino al 2019 quando è passato alla Moto2. Quest'anno ha deciso di correre nel mondiale Supersport ed ha scelto il #kawasakipuccettiracing, con il quale sino ad ora ha conquistato tre podi e la terza posizione nella classifica del campionato. 
Can Oncu è nato ad Alanya in Turchia il 26 luglio 2003. Ha corso nell'Asia Talent Cup e nella Rookies Cup, che ha vinto nel 2018. Nello stesso anno ha debuttato nel mondiale Moto3 vincendo la gara di Valencia (primo pilota turco a vincere una gara nel motomondiale e più giovane pilota ad aver vinto una gara del motomondiale). Nel 2019 ha disputato tutto il mondiale Moto3 e quest'anno si è spostato nel mondiale Supersport, dove sino ad ora ha ottenuto come miglior risultato un sesto posto a Magny Cours.

Manuel Puccetti – Team Principal: "E' una grande soddisfazione per me avere ancora con noi #philippoettl, che abbiamo accompagnato nel suo passaggio dalla Moto2. I risultati nell'anno del suo debutto sono stati molto postivi e speriamo possa concludere al terzo posto della classifica finale. Una posizione che contiamo di migliorare il prossimo anno. Per quanto riguarda Oncu sono certo del suo grande potenziale e cercheremo di metterlo nelle condizioni di esprimerlo al massimo. L'obiettivo è di ottenere con lui i risultati che in passato abbiamo ottenuto con Sofuoglu e Razgatlioglu".

Can Oncu: "Sono molto contento di entrare a far parte della famiglia Puccetti nel mondiale Supersport. Non vedo l'ora di poter provare la mia nuova #moto e di iniziare a lavorare con la mia nuova squadra, con la quale voglio puntare ai massimi risultati, cercando di mettere a frutto l'esperienza che ho maturato quest'anno. Il mio grande ringraziamento va a Kenan Sofuoglu, a Manuel Puccetti ed alla Federazione Motociclistica Turca, che mi hanno permesso di realizzare questo che per me è un autentico sogno".

Philipp Oettl: "Sono naturalmente molto contento di continuare con Manuel ed il #kawasakipuccettiracing. Sono un team molto professionale e la Kawasaki supporta i. nostro progetto. Siamo tutti fiduciosi per il prossimo anno nel quale io spero di ottenere risultati ancora migliori rispetto a quelli conseguiti in questa stagione. Il nostro obiettivo è di chiudere in test il campionato WorldSSP 2021. Di certo non sarà facile ma ritengo di disporre del pacchetto giusto. Ora sono concentrato sulle ultime gare di quest'anno all'Estoril. Conosco la pista perché ci ho gareggiato otto anni fa nella rookies. Ci ho corso per due anni e quindi me lo ricordo abbastanza bene. Spero di poter sfruttare questa esperienza perché voglio terminare il campionato al terzo posto della classifica. Il mio obiettivo è di concentrarmi su me stesso, ottenere I migliori risultati possibili e poi vedere come è andata. Non vedo l'ora di disputare le ultime due gare e quindi iniziare la preparazione invernale in vista del prossimo anno".

Il circuito di #estoril è stato inaugurato il 16 giugno del 1972, ma solo nel 1982 ha iniziato ad ospitare gare internazionali e dal 1984 al 1996 vi si è corso il Gran Premio del Portogallo di Formula 1. In seguito ha ospitato molti round della MotoGP, mentre il campionato mondiale Superbike ha corso all'Estoril nel 1988 e nel 1993. La pista ha subito modifiche rilevanti nel 1994 e nel 1996 ed attualmente ha una lunghezza di mt.4182 con un totale di 13 curve delle quali 9 a destra e 4 a sinistra.

Kawasaki Puccetti #racing prepares for final #estoril round and announces its 2021 WorldSSP line-up with #canoncu and Philipp Öttl

Kawasaki Puccetti #racing is all set for the final races of the 2021 Superbike and Supersport world championships taking place this weekend at the #estoril circuit in Portugal.
At the previous Magny-Cours round, Lucas Mahias scored his first win of the season in Supersport, taking his podium tally to seven on his Ninja ZX-6R and consolidating second place in the overall standings in the process. Philipp Öttl had an unlucky weekend but is still in the mix for overall third place in the championship, while Xavi Fores had some difficulties with the wet track in Superbike.
The three #kawasakipuccettiracing riders will now take part in the eighth and final championship round at #estoril with the aim of finishing the 2020 season with the best possible results, while Team Principal Manuel Puccetti is already focused on next season, having confirmed his rider line-up for both Superbike and Supersport. Having already announced Lucas Mahias' promotion to the top class, the Italian manager is pleased to announce that his Supersport team will field the already confirmed Philipp Öttl and young talent #canoncu. 

Philipp Öttl was born in Ainring, Germany on 3 May 1996. Following three seasons in the Rookies Cup, he moved to Moto3 in 2013 and remained there until 2019 when he transferred to Moto2. This year he decided to compete in World Supersport with #kawasakipuccettiracing, and has scored three podiums so far to position third in the championship standings. 
Can Öncü was born on 26 July 2003 in Alanya, Turkey. He has competed in the Asia Talent Cup and the Rookies Cup, winning the latter in 2018. He made his Moto3 debut that same year, winning the Valencia race (becoming the first Turkish rider to win a world championship race as well as the youngest rider to have won a world championship race). 2019 saw him complete a full Moto3 season while this year he moved over to World Supersport, where his best result to date has been a sixth-place finish at Magny-Cours.

Manuel Puccetti – Team Principal: "I am very pleased to be able to retain Phillip Öttl, who has been with us since moving from Moto2. The results he has scored in his debut year have been very positive and we hope he can finish third overall. A position that we plan to improve on next year. As for Öncü, I believe in his potential and we'll try to give him everything he needs to fully express this. The aim is to achieve the kind of results that we have previously achieved with Sofuoglu and Razgatlioglu."

Can Öncü: "I'm really happy to join the Puccetti family in World Supersport. I can't wait to test my new bike and start working with my new team, and I'll be aiming for the best possible results, hopefully putting the experience I've gained this year to good use. I want to thank Kenan Sofuoglu, Manuel Puccetti and the Turkish Motorcycle Federation for allowing me to achieve what is a real dream for me."

Philipp Öttl: "Of course I am very happy to continue with Manuel and the #kawasakipuccettiracing team. They are very professional, and Kawasaki is behind our project. We are all looking forward to next year and I am hoping that we can achieve even better results. That is our target, or rather to run at the front of the WorldSSP Championship in 2021. For sure it won't be easy, but I think we have a competitive package. For now I am focusing on the last races of this season at #estoril. I know the track from riding in the Rookies Cup eight years ago. I rode there for two years running so I have some experience of this track. I hope I can use this to my advantage, as we still want to finish P3 in the overall standings. My goal is to focus on myself, score the best results we can, and we will see where we end up. I am looking forward to the last race and then our winter preparation for the new season."

The #estoril circuit was inaugurated on 16 June 1972 but only began hosting international races in 1982. The Formula 1 Portuguese Grand Prix was held there from 1984 to 1996, after which MotoGP became a regular visitor. The Superbike championship competed at #estoril in 1988 and 1993. The track underwent significant renovation work in 1994 and 1996 and is currently 4182 metres in length and features thirteen turns, nine of which are right-handers, four left-handers.
