Terza posizione sul bagnato per il BARDAHL Evan Bros. WorldSSP Team ed Andrea Locatelli nel venerdì
Si è aperto oggi con lo svolgimento delle prime due sessioni di prove libere il penultimo round del campionato #worldssp 2020, sul tracciato francese di Magny – Cours. Come in parte previsto dalle previsioni meteo, il day one è stato contraddistinto dalla pioggia, che ha mantenuto il tracciato bagnato per tutta la giornata. Le condizioni avverse non hanno impedito al BARDAHL Evan Bros. #worldssp Team ed a #andrealocatelli, al debutto assoluto sulla pista transalpina, di chiudere in terza posizione nella classifica combinata delle due sessioni.
Nelle FP1 della tarda mattinata il Campione del Mondo 2020 ha iniziato a conoscere in tutti i suoi aspetti il tracciato, mettendo a referto 14 giri e migliorandosi passaggio dopo passaggio, sino ad ottenere una positiva ottava posizione finale. Come previsto dal nuovo programma della giornata, modificato dopo la posticipazione del primo turno di prove della Supersport300 causa condizioni avverse della pista, alle ore 14 sono andate in scena le FP2.
Qui Locatelli è riuscito a migliorare il proprio crono del mattino già al quarto dei 16 passaggi completati, grazie ad una maggiore confidenza ed al lavoro svolto sull'assetto insieme al team Campione del Mondo, conquistando la terza posizione sia nella classifica della sessione che in quella combinata di fine giornata.
Domani il BARDAHL Evan Bros. #worldssp Team ed #andrealocatelli torneranno in pista alle 9.30 per le FP3, mentre alle 11.40 sarà il momento della Superpole, per decidere lo schieramento di partenza delle due gare in programma, la prima della quali andrà in scena qualche ora più tardi, alle 15.15, e sarà trasmessa in diretta sul canale 208 della piattaforma Sky. Team e pilota sono motivati ad ottenere un risultato di prestigio, per celebrare al meglio la recente conquista del titolo mondiale.

Andrea Locatelli: "Nel complesso la nostra giornata è stata positiva, ho potuto iniziare a capire la pista ed allo stesso tempo conoscere meglio il comportamento della nostra Yamaha sul bagnato. Le condizioni della pista erano insidiose in entrambe le sessioni, quindi è importante anche il fatto di non essere caduto, nonostante nel pomeriggio abbia compiuto una lunga uscita che mi ha permesso di ottenere tante informazioni utili. Questa sera analizzeremo i dati della giornata con pazienza, con l'obiettivo di migliorare ed essere tra i protagonisti domani".
Third position in the wet for BARDAHL Evan Bros. #worldssp Team and #andrealocatelli on Friday in Magny - Cours
The penultimate round of the 2020 #worldssp World Championship opened today with the first two free practice sessions at the French track of Magny - Cours. As partly foreseen by the weather forecast, the day one was marked by rain, which kept the track wet throughout the day. The adverse conditions did not prevent BARDAHL Evan Bros. and #andrealocatelli, making his absolute debut on the transalpine track, from finishing third in the combined classification of the two sessions.
In the FP1 of the late morning the 2020 World Champion began to know the track in all its aspects, reporting 14 laps and improving step by step, until obtaining a positive eighth final position.
As foreseen by the new programme of the day, modified after the postponement of the first free session of the Supersport300 due to bad track conditions, at 14 FP2 went on stage.
Here Locatelli was able to improve his morning time already at the fourth of the 16 laps completed, thanks to a greater confidence and to the work done on the setup together with the World Champion team, gaining the third position both in the session and in the combined classification at the end of the day.
Tomorrow the BARDAHL Evan Bros. #worldssp Team and #andrealocatelli will be back on track at 9.30 for the FP3, while at 11.40 it will be time for the Superpole, to decide the starting grid of the two scheduled races, the first of which will take place a few hours later, at 15.15, and it will be broadcast live on channel 208 of the Sky platform. Team and rider are motivated to obtain a prestigious result, to celebrate the recent conquest of the world title.

Andrea Locatelli: "Overall our day was positive, I was able to begin to understand the track and at the same time to get to know our Yamaha's behaviour in the wet. The track conditions were tricky in both sessions, so it's also important not to have crashed, despite the fact that I made a long run in the afternoon which allowed me to get a lot of useful information. Tonight we will analyze the data of the day with patience, with the aim of improving and being among the protagonists tomorrow".
