Stuttgart. Free admission because of hot temperatures? On a total of seven Sunday mornings from 2 August onwards, this decision will be always taken after a glance at the thermometer. If the ambient temperature at the museum at 7:07 a.m. is already 20 degrees Celsius or higher, admission to the museum will be free on that particular Sunday during the regular opening hours of 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Visitors can check the Mercedes-Benz Museum’s social media channels (@mercedesbenzmuseum on Instagram and Facebook) or call the Classic Contact Centre (+49 711 17 30000) to find out whether this is the case. The notification will also be broadcast on “DIE NEUE 107.7” radio station and published at https://dieneue1077.de/hitzefrei.
On every Sunday up to and including 13 September 2020, between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m., we will also be hosting the non-brand-specific “Cars & Coffee” classics meeting outside the museum. The popular and informal gathering is a well-known event in the summer automobile season for owners and fans of old and more recent classics. Automobiles of any brand that are at least 20 years old are eligible to take part.
Mercedes-Benz Museum’s current children’s programme offers appealing activities for our youngest visitors from 3 years of age onwards. The focus is on creative activities at the CAMPUS on Level 0 as well as opportunities to explore the permanent exhibition. Children must be accompanied by an adult to participate. All the activities were designed with the officially prescribed hygiene measures in mind. These hygiene measures also require children aged 6 and over to wear a face mask covering their nose and mouth for the duration of their visit – as must all adults.
