Resort 2021 – La Madrague
Resort 2021 inspired by Brigitte Bardot’s ballade “La Madrague”, her 1963 song named after her house in St Tropez overlooking the ocean, transports us to this time and embraces our eternal love affair with the sea and the French Riviera. This beautiful tune revives the sentiment of the joy that we await for every year, as the days become longer, nature begins to bloom and the sun wraps us as we swing into the rhythm of summer.
Long days at the beach, the taste of salty water in the air, late lunches that finish at sundown, and beautiful men and women that embody genuine elegance and style.
209 Mare’s focus has been centered around perfecting the Terry Towel Blazer, inspired by the same material that garments were tailored in during the 60’s and 70’s. Our Rivierawear collection encompasses beautifully crafted sweaters, polo shirts, T-shirts and hoodies that when styled with our new shorts, pants and blazers give you the feeling of being back in the 70’s having a glass of wine with Steve McQueen.
SS2021 – Provençal Life
Summers at the Provence have a special feeling. The sunlight has a distinct glow and the bronzed bodies of beautiful people enjoying an apéro in a tucked away terrace or garden set the scene. The scent of lavender invading the fresh winds and the resounding noise of old Vespas cruising the streets add to this unique charm. Warm light flickers when reflected by the leaves of the silver olive trees. Sunny August afternoons while strolling the Provençal towns; driven by the pursuit of the joy of the simplest pleasures. Perhaps some seasonal delicacies and a local wine or better yet a summer romance. That is a summer oasis where time freezes and where all of our senses are caressed by the true overwhelming beauty of all that surrounds us.
SS 2021 is a further development of what we introduced in Resort 2021 embracing the timelessness of our summer essentials. The hues of the season are reminiscent of the color palette, of ‘The Provençal life’ that inspired this season and its prints.
