Presented during the last edition of the Salone del Mobile in Milan, Platea armchair is now officially in production and is part of the Pianca's Day Collection catalogue. If placed in different settings it shows its dual soul: on one hand, it displays the characteristics of the traditional bergere armchair, while on the other hand it firmly affirms its modern attitude.
Emilio Nanni highlights the typical enveloping style of the bergere armchair through a high and wide backrest with open and linear geometries. The continuity between armrests and backrest is to be found in the volumes and the reduced thicknesses. The armchair is also equipped with a lower back support in a different density, making it both comfortable and spacious.
A strong characteristic, typical of the Platea armchair is its tubular structure, which frames the armrests and part of the backrest and ends in four brass feet. The same structure decorates also the ottoman, which is optional and completes the armchair. The cover, with a blanket-stitching, is available in all the fabrics and leathers of the new #pianca collection, including the ones of the Smart Collection.
A wide offer of personalisation options for both structure and cover make Platea an even more versatile complement for your home. Its elegant and bold #design is easily adaptable to both the day and night area.
