Nissan announces senior management changes for North America

Nashville, Tenn. (April 24, 2019) – Nissan is making several changes to its North American management team in line with the mission of delivering sustainable results and leading the technology and business evolution outlined in the company’s “M.O.V.E. to 2022” midterm plan.

“These changes in our North American leadership team will strengthen our focus on Nissan customers and working with our dealer partners,” said José Luis Valls, president and chairman, Nissan North America. “We are fortunate to have a strong slate of leaders to help drive our business forward and respond to market challenges facing the automotive industry.”

Effective June 1, Airton Cousseau is appointed senior vice president, Marketing and Sales, Nissan North America. In this role, Cousseau will be responsible for all U.S. sales and marketing activities for the Nissan Division.

Cousseau is currently vice president, Dongfeng Motor Co., Ltd. and managing director, Dongfeng Nissan Passenger Vehicle Co. in China. He previously served as president, Nissan Mexico.

The following changes are effective May 1.

Dan Mohnke, senior vice president, Connected Services, Data, and Digitalization, adds responsibility for the company’s Customer Journey and Vehicle Connected Services teams. Mohnke’s organization is focused on helping Nissan capitalize on opportunities created by disruption in the automotive industry.
