Turkey 2016 national football kits

A new dawn is breaking for the Turkish National Football Federation. As they seek to emerge as a major power in European football, the Turkish National Football Team will take the pitch this summer in new home and away kits that underscore national pride with a gradient graphic of micro-geometric shapes reminiscent of the intricate mosaics characteristic of Byzantine architecture.
TURKEY HOME KIT
On the home kit, this graphic begins in black at the back hem of the shirt and transforms into a powerful red as it spreads up towards the shoulders.
TURKEY AWAY KIT
On the away shirt, the motif changes from bright turquoise to brilliant white. “Turkey” appears on the back collar of both shirts.
The sides of the kits feature striking stripes that run the length of the shirt and shorts. Expanding when the player is in motion, they are designed to maximize ventilation and reveal bold flashes of color, red on black shorts in the home kit and turquoise on white shorts in the away kit. Black socks (home) and white (away) with a red linear graphic on the calf highlight the most dynamic part of the footballer’s body, the lower legs, to accentuate speed.
“The way the new design starts from black and changes to red is very significant for us, as the color red represents the most important values of the Republic of #turkey,” says Arda Turan, Turkey National Team captain. “I think we’ll achieve great success with this shirt, under these colors. I am so excited and can’t wait to wear it.”
While this new kit serves to inspire national pride, it has also been created to give players the very latest in Nike’s innovations, encompassing fabric construction, performance technology, moisture management and environmental sustainability.
2016 #turkey kits are available beginning March 24 at #nike.com and will debut on-pitch March 24.
