Jaguar Land Rover Appoints New Executive Director, Corporate And Strategy

Whitley, Coventry - 29th January, 2016:  #jaguarlandrover Automotive plc has today announced the appointment of #hannokirner to the position of Executive Director, #corporate and Strategy, #jaguarlandrover.  Mr Kirner will join the Executive Committee of the company, reporting to #jaguarlandrover Chief Executive Officer, Dr Ralf Speth. The move is effective 1st March, 2016.

Commenting on the appointment, Dr Speth said:  "I am delighted to welcome Hanno to the team.  He is joining #jaguarlandrover at an extremely exciting time as we continue to execute our consistent strategy, investing in world-class technologies and manufacturing facilities, ensuring that #jaguarlandrover puts its customers first in every part of the business."

Mr Kirner will join #jaguarlandrover from Rolls Royce plc, where he is currently Chief Financial Officer for the company's Land and Sea Division.  Between 2010 and 2015 he was Chief Financial Officer at Aston Martin and prior to this he was Director of Finance and IT at Rolls Royce Motor Cars.  He has also held a number of senior roles with BMW.

Hanno will be taking over the reins as Executive Director from Mike Wright, who will continue to be associated with #jaguarlandrover, bringing his experience to a number of areas that include key financial services initiatives.  In addition, he will be taking up roles outside #jaguarlandrover that will be announced in due course.

Commenting on Mike Wright's new responsibilities, Dr Speth said:  "Mike has been at the forefront of the development of #jaguarlandrover and a key member of the Executive Committee since 2002.  His significant contributions to the company and to the automotive sector are widely recognised throughout #jaguarlandrover and beyond.  I'm delighted that he will be continuing to work with us, in addition to his new responsibilities outside the company."
