CONCORTO FILM FESTIVAL, one of the most important Italian festivals dedicated to short films returns with its 14th edition, between Piacenza and nearby Pontenure. Two thousand movies offered by over seventy nations, a hundred ones allowed to compete for the coveted "Golden Donkey”. A competition which have, in the past, Werner Herzog, Denis Villeneuve and Oscar winner Shawn Christensen.

Approaching the fourteenth edition of Concorto Film Festival, among the events dedicated to the short film most appreciated of Italy, on stage August 22 to 29. In the traditional setting of Parco Raggio in Pontenure (Piacenza) and, for the first time, also in the same Piacenza: with the program of meetings with the directors and the stars of the festival hosted in the Palazzo Ex Enel and the final evening, with announcement of the winners, at Palazzo Farnese.
About two thousand films submitted to the selection committee, coming from more than seventy different nations of the world; accepted a hundred works, including those out of competition, and which are intended to contend and one of the three prizes. The Golden Donkey awarded by the jury to the best film of the festival, the Special Jury Prize, the Audience Award and the Prize "The Wave", determined by the special jury composed of young high school students of the area.
