Mopar at the second edition of Camp Jeep

  • From 10 to 12 July: rendez-vous in France for the international meeting organised by the Jeep Owners Group (JOG), the only official club run by the brand, which is now active in 17 countries in the EMEA region.
  • Four off-road routes, a village in tune with brand values, a well-equipped camp-site to stay the night and a technical area for testing 4x4 cars with the help of the Jeep Academy.
  • Protagonists of the get-together will be three showcar Jeep models with special livery and accessories by Mopar: Wrangler Unlimited "Night Rock", Wrangler Rubicon "Dark Side" and Renegade "Hard Steel".
  • Two Mopar stores: one selling Jeep and JOG merchandise and the other dedicated to the original accessories made by Mopar for Wrangler and Renegade.
  • The Jeep Camp in France will also feature the presence of MEC, the Mopar Express Care unit, based on the Fiat Ducato, which acts as a full mobile repairs workshop, complete with office section, diagnosis zone and operation area

Tomorrow the beautiful Vallée Bleue, near Lyon (France) will stage a very special event: the second edition of Camp Jeep, the international gathering open to all owners and fans of the legendary seven slot grill brand. Organised by the Jeep Owners Group (JOG) - the only official club run by the brand, already established in 17 countries in the EMEA region - this reunion is a celebration of the deep sense of belonging and identity that surrounds Jeep brand fans, and also offers opportunities to verify the amazing off-road performance of every 4x4 Jeep.

Camp Jeep will be home to a village reflecting the brand's style moods, a fully equipped campsite for overnight stays and various theme areas designed to create an inspiring brand experience, like the Wrangler Stage which is the main entertainment area.

Mopar®, FCA's reference brand for services, customer care, genuine spare parts and accessories, will also generate great interest. Two separate areas presenting Mopar news will be set up at Camp Jeep: the official store selling exclusive apparel and merchandising dedicated to Jeep models and JOG members and a specific area showcasing and selling the Mopar accessories made for Wrangler and Renegade. Jeep and Mopar experts will be present at both stands to provide useful advice and ideas on how to customise your Jeep.

A further exciting demonstration of the deep bond between the two American brands is provided by the exhibition of three Jeep showcars featuring special liveries and exclusive Mopar accessories: Wrangler Unlimited "Night Rock", Wrangler Rubicon "Dark Side" and Renegade "Hard Steel". These are unique exemplars which reaffirm the natural vocation for personalisation of all Jeep models. What never changes is their amazing ability to adapt to every situation, from elegant and fashionable social contexts to the toughest dust tracks.

In particular, Jeep Wrangler "Night Rock" is a prototype based on the 'Unlimited' version from which the doors and the roof were removed to demonstrate the model's remarkable versatility and possibly of making it entirely open. The special series is characterised by extreme technical preparation ready for the toughest terrain and an appealing off-road configuration packed with great details, which includes a 'Performance' bonnet with air vents, a mesh grille, a suspension lifting kit and oversized tyres. Black paint and supplementary headlights reassert the bold looks of the showcar created by Jeep and Mopar.

The second Mopar-personalised car will be the Wrangler "Dark Side", based on the Rubicon version and equipped with a 2.8 litre turbodiesel engine with a five-gear automatic gear system. This special version has off-road bumpers, tow hook and winch, a performance bonnet hood and a chrome exhaust system, along with special leather interiors.

By its side, the Jeep Renegade Trailhawk "Hard Steel", which combines a slick metropolitan look with a relish for extreme adventure: extra-big tyres, raised suspension, performance bonnet, and grill and side mirror housings in opaque black. The "technological" attitude of this showcar is expressed most clearly by its Brushed Steel bodywork, a glimmering metallic skin that echoes the world of vintage aviation and avant-garde boating. This silver contrasts superbly with the opaque black of various elements, including grill, roof- bars, mirror housings, 16" alloy rims, side strips, bonnet air vents, fenders and bumpers. Another feature of this particular showcar is the trailer hooked on behind it, echoing the bold technological charisma of the car.

The Jeep Camp in France will also feature the presence of MEC, the Mopar Express Care unit. This converted Fiat Ducato is a fully equipped mobile repairs workshop, complete with reception, diagnosis and operative areas and will provide assistance to the vehicles involved in the various activities at Camp Jeep.Among its many services, this offers an instant electronic check-up of your Jeep via tablet (wiADVISOR), thanks in part to a robust internet connection and a 32" flat screen which renders operations completely transparent, to the benefit of the customer.
