Silvestro Lega 'Story of a Soul. Discoveries and revelations' at Matteucci Centre for Modern Art, Viareggio

On shows 20 masterpieces of Silvestro Lega ever seen, gathered through 30 years of research in archives and private homes. Portraits Fabroni, finally identified. Relives the exhibition of Modigliana 1926 "Lega. Story of a Soul. Discoveries and revelations", an event proposed by Matteucci Foundation for Modern Art (Viareggio, from July 4 to November 1) is an extraordinary cultural operation as well as a very important exhibition. In fact Giuliano Matteucci, who is the curator with Silvio Balloni, reveals a precise selection of works by Lega, which in this context are officially added to the catalogue of the great macchiaiolo. Some very sensational works represent the result of surveys conducted along several years, stimulated by research in public and private archives, in Italy and abroad.
