Philippe Starck rewarded Frauscher 747 Mirage at the Nautic Design Award 2014

Frauscher Shipyard is pleased about the “Nautic Design Award” 2014 and the “Sports & Style” special award for the runabout “Frauscher 747 Mirage” at Nautic Expo in Paris.
The Nautic Design Awards were presented in the course of Nautic Expo, which was held from 6-14 December in Paris.
The international populace had the opportunity to vote for the finalists in an online pre-selection over a period of two months. The final winners were determined by the public at the Parisian trade show and a committee of experts.
The members of the professional jury at the event, led by the world designers Philippe Starck and Odile Decq, were journalists of the magazines Moteur Boat, Neptune, Sport & Style and many others.
The Frauscher 747 Mirage convinced both groups of jurors, the public (40% of the public voted for the Frauscher 747 Mirage) and design committee.
In the category of “Day Boat” the Frauscher 747 Mirage won the Nautic Design Award 2014 and was also distinguished with the special award of the French magazine Sports & Style.
Both awards were given in recognition of the hard work of Frauscher’s in-house development director Thomas Gerzer and the Austrian design team of KISKA GmbH, affirming their commitment to  one of the highest priorities during the planning and  implementation of the motor boat: the redefinition of the luxury day boat segment.
The design of the 747 Mirage is successfully radical and contemporary and manifests Frauscher’s roots in racing with a design reminiscent of a sports car. Its strong design language and refined features put the 747 Mirage in the spotlight at Nautic Expo 2014 and enthused major international figures of contemporary and modern design.
