Hemingwrite Minimalist digital typewriter offers writers a retreat from over-connectivity

Cofounders Adam Leeb and Patrick Paul launch a crowdfunding campaign for their latest consumer electronic product, the Hemingwrite.

The Hemingwrite is a minimalist digital typewriter which promises a distraction-free writing experience and modern technology.

Now through January 23, 2015, the Hemingwrite is available to the public on the Kickstarter.com crowdfunding site.

The dedicated writing tool will retail for $499 next year and is available to early backers on the Kickstarter platform starting at $349.

The Hemingwrite features top-quality components for avid writers including a daylight-readable e-paper display, a full-size mechanical keyboard, and an expected 4+ week battery life.

The device also includes WiFi connectivity to upload documents to a variety of cloud storages, including Dropbox, Google Docs, and Evernote.
