Armani/Dada at Salone del Mobile 2014

Design, function and elegance. These are the guiding concepts behind the development of the Armani/Dada collection, created in 2008 to express the perfection and excellence of the Armani style to the kitchen. At Eurocucina 2014 Armani/Dada introduces the collection Slide and the collection Checkers, rethought in drawing and finishes, and the collection Bridge at Dada Flagship Store located in via Larga.

The concept that inspired Giorgio Armani is the informal yet refined atmosphere of a dinner invitation issued by a chef. Here, the kitchen takes the leading role, a space around which the guests gather. Luxury is viewed from a new perspective with a surprising marble worktop on the island feature, which slides open to reveal the thick stainless steel work area. The door panels of the island and the wall-system feature horizontal panelling in sassafras wood with horizontal metal profiles cut into it at regular intervals. The functional elements are hidden beneath the worktop, which covers the kitchen’s work area (hob, sink and cutting board), thanks to a gentle horizontal sliding mechanism. The wall-system features exclusive elements and redesigned proportions: panelling with oversized ceiling-height columns, and set-back wall units with horizontally sliding electric doors, which thereby remove all obstructions from the worktop. An exclusive patented vertical sliding mechanism allows the oven to remain hidden behind the unit door and to become visible only when in use.
