The perfection of Sorry Giotto among the excellences of Opera Italiana at Macef 2013

Art and design are part of the Italian panorama of excellences which are known and appreciated all over the world and represent the pride of the country. These excellences meet in Milan from 24 to 27 January 2013 at Macef, that once more welcomes Opera Italiana, the big stage of prestige which enhances the design and quality craftsmanship by developing a story of creativity, craftsmanship and innovative research, atmospheres which characterize the unique Italian style. ‘O’ as Opera Italiana, ‘O’ as the perfection of the famous Circle, which the Florentine painter and sculptor Giotto could hand-draw, that has inspired the creation of the light Sorry Giotto by Enzo Catellani for Catellani & Smith, which has already become an icon. Catellani & Smith will exhibit the ‘circle – light sculpture’, which hides behind his minimal hand-painted structure a ring of high-powered LEDs that illuminate and create light effects on the wall space. Sorry Giotto will be presented in three different diameters: 60, 90, 120 cm.
