Bosch replaces FILTER+ with its enhanced FILTER+pro for the vehicle cabin - FILTER+pro is also effective against viruses and mold

  • Independent certification by OFI CERT confirms the excellent filtration performance of the FILTER+pro from Bosch
  • FILTER+pro ensures even cleaner air in the vehicle interior and thus promotes health and comfort
  • A special antimicrobial filter layer acts against viruses, bacteria, pollen, and allergens

Karlsruhe, Germany – At the beginning of 2024, Bosch is replacing the proven FILTER+ cabin filter with the enhanced FILTER+pro. Following extensive air-quality tests, the independent certification body OFI CERT, based in Vienna, Austria, had previously confirmed the product’s excellent filtration performance. Among other things, OFI tested and confirmed the product’s ability to filter and reduce allergens. The tests also confirmed that FILTER+pro reduces the risk of germ transmission. With several coordinated filter layers, the enhanced product ensures cleaner, largely pollutant-free air in the vehicle cabin, better protects vehicle occupants’ health, and offers them more comfort. This makes it particularly suitable for people who suffer from allergies.

Three highly effective filter layers work in combination

Unlike its predecessor, the new FILTER+pro also reliably retains viruses and prevents mold. The antimicrobial filter layer in particular has been optimized and is also effective against bacteria, pollen, and allergens. The carbon layer neutralizes unpleasant odors and harmful gases such as ozone or smog, while FILTER+pro’s ultrafine microfiber layer filters out more than 98 percent of particulate matter measuring 2.5 micrometers or more. Thanks to its excellent filter effect, the cabin filter from Bosch reduces allergic reactions such as sneezing, which can be potentially dangerous at the wheel. In addition, fewer deposits build up on the windshield, lowering the risk of dazzle. In this way, the cabin filters contribute to road safety. They also help keep air-conditioning systems functioning properly by impeding the formation of deposits.

Bosch cabin filters for nearly every passenger car in Europe

With its portfolio of cabin filters for workshops and the aftermarket – from standard filters and carbon filters to the FILTER+pro – Bosch now covers 97 percent of electric and hybrid vehicles and 96 percent of all passenger cars in Europe. The company offers a total of over 650 different cabin filters, covering more than 300 million vehicles in Europe. This means workshops have the right cabin filter from Bosch for nearly every customer. To maintain optimum filter performance, Bosch recommends replacing the cabin filters every 15,000 kilometers, or at least once a year.
