Casalgrande Padana at the Salone Internazionale del Mobile 2024 in Milan - Preview
From 16 to 21 April, at Stand C05 in Pavilion 1 of the Fiera Milano Exhibition Centre in Rho, Casagrande Padana will be at the Salone del Mobile of Milan, the leading international home and décor trade fair that gives players in the sector the chance to meet and reflect on the world of design. The exhibition is a workshop for experimentation and creativity, offering the opportunity for dialogue and exchanges aimed at fostering development and innovation, with a view to ongoing improvement.
Pietra Tiburtina: suspended between history and modernity
Precious Italian heritage full of charm and history comes to life in the porcelain stoneware tiles from the Pietra Tiburtina collection, a masterpiece of design, craftsmanship, creativity and technological innovation. Fragments of stone gush from the cavities of ancient Tibur to take us on a journey through history. Widely used since the days of Ancient Rome as an ornamental and construction material, travertine, or lapis tiburtinus, as it was once known, has maintained its unlimited potential throughout the centuries, inspiring artists and architects of every era.
These tiles come in both a vein-cut version, which emphasises the lengthwise layers of the limestone deposits, and a cross-cut version, with an antiqued finish also available, which highlights the subtle cloud-like effects and gives the tiles an aged flavour of times gone by. The new Pietra Tiburtina collection by Casalgrande Padana combines the beauty of stone with the strength and resistance of porcelain stoneware. Delicate earthy shades, beautiful streaks and three-dimensional light and shade effects run through the ceramic tiles, giving them a delightfully elegant texture.
The Pietra Tiburtina collection draws inspiration from the finest types of travertine in nature. It comes in four colours (Aventino, Campidoglio, Celio, and Palatino), with a thickness of 6 mm for the 60x120 cm, 120x120 cm and 120x278 cm sizes, and with a thickness of 9 mm for the 30x60 cm and 60x60 cm sizes. Thanks to the 20 mm thickness available for the 60x120 cm and 60x60 cm sizes, and the anti-slip surface, this new collection from Casalgrande Padana can also be installed outdoors directly on sand, gravel or turf, and can be walked on immediately.
Pietra Tiburtina tiles are perfect for the indoor and outdoor floors and walls of any architectural project. This decorative new collection can also be used in the design of exclusive, coordinated décor elements, such as partition walls, countertops, wall cabinets, washbasins, shower trays, shelves and tables. It slots easily into all kinds of furnishing styles, shaping a contemporary lifestyle vision.
The collection is a tribute to the stone that inspired it, opening up an array of creative options for architects and interior designers.
