Luca Nichetto and Ethimo lend shape to an innovative, stylish item to decorate your house with fragrances
Hortus is a fragrance diffuser which creates a harmonious connection between indoor and outdoor spaces. Its clean-cut and refined shape recalls Lucerna, the evocative glass table lamp also designed by Luca Nichetto to illuminate outdoor areas.
Hortus is a decorative accessory which with its fragrances becomes the source of unique sensory experiences: a receptacle of Mediterranean sensations capable of creating an intense and engaging atmosphere.
“In Hortus, design is transformed into nature and vice versa with a kaleidoscopic bouquet of citrus notes. It awakens olfactory memories and is a metaphor for a contemporary lifestyle, seamlessly connecting home and garden”, as described by Ethimo and Luca Nichetto.
Thanks to Hortus, the Mediterranean spirit of Ethimo takes shape in a sensory project which aims to transform and enrich the ambience of a room, evoking the charm, emotions and fragrances of timeless places and wonderful landscapes.
The name itself, Hortus, shows its essence. Inspired by nature, Hortus is your private, cosy, place: an orchard rich in fruits, spices and fragrances which give life to new sensations and emotions. This special diffuser induces a sense of nature, freshness and energy, evoking images of calmness, harmony and the beauty and tranquillity of a garden in full bloom.
The diffuser is made of borosilicate glass in a soft Light Anthracite colour, while the base is made of glazed ceramic and is available in the typical colours of soil and citrus groves of the Mediterranean: Amber, Light Grey and Terra Bruciata.
The fragrance included is Hortus Vivace: fresh and intense with notes ranging from lemon peel to green apple, from yellow peach to lavender, from velvety wood to sweet musk. Hortus Vivace contains some of the most pleasant and intense scents of the Mediterranean scrub.
The diffuser and the fragrance come in an elegant case with a practical refill bottle to continue your discovery of the ‘world of Ethimo’ and the scents of the Mediterranean.
