The Reviews Are In And Evil Wizard is A Wicked Good Time

It has been a week since the launch of the devilishly delightful action RPG Evil Wizard on Xbox and PC, and the early reviews are decidedly non-evil! Early impressions have praised the game's fourth-wall-breaking humour, vibrant animations and satisfying combat, and the team at Rubber Duck Games has created an accolades trailer that you can check out below!

In Evil Wizard you jump into the sassy boots of the titular Evil Wizard as you face off against hordes of enemies, avoid deadly traps, and solve challenging puzzles, in order to reclaim the halls of your castle from the heroes that now live within it! Vengeance is the main point on the agenda as you work your way through charming, pixel-art environments packed to the brim with hordes of enemies that you need to overcome to reclaim what's yours. While you once were a powerful wizard, your battle stripped you of your powers, and you'll have to rediscover them as you work to infiltrate your castle and unleash devastating spells on your enemies.

Evil Wizard features crude, fourth-wall-breaking humour, inspired by the likes of Conker's Bad Fur Day and Deadpool. There are also a ton of easter eggs from some of the team's favourite games and movies to be found in the backgrounds and in certain bosses. Tying all the fun together is satisfying action RPG combat that you'll need to master if you want to reclaim your evil castle and all the glory that comes with it.
