Rock & Crochet

Novel pieces are created on a unique narrative thread: Marta Gnutti’s necklaces make the Fuorisalone shine by weaving fragments of stories through #beauty, art and sustainability. And, most importantly, with a touch of vintage style.

from April 17th to 23rd 2023

5VIE #design District – via Circo, 1

from 10,30 am to 7,30 pm

Wednesday April the 19th cocktail party

from 7,30 pm to 10,30 pm

From the delicate intertwining of a cotton thread and the precious homemade art of crochet, the latest creations by Marta Never Too Much emerge. The array of materials used for her creations, span from resin or glass beads, to recycled plastic spheres found in old warehouses, incorporating cheerful woolen pom-poms, or sparkling multicolored bakelite, vintage silk scarves, refined antique-style trimmings, metal components, and semi-precious stones... and more.

Marta Gnutti's creativity knows no bounds and draws inspiration from anything she can find at flea markets, while traveling between New York, Lugano, and Miami, recovering all that is recoverable from old drawers and trunks hiding precious materials and their secrets. Freedom in creativity, style, and using unusual materials, bring bright colors to the most delicate shades in her one-of-a-kind necklaces.

The result is the new "Rock & Crochet" collection, which will be presented during Milan #design Week in the 5VIE district, the oldest area of Milan, a charming labyrinth of streets dotted with historical buildings, workshops, and artisan laboratories.

Marta Gnutti, an eclectic and exuberant artist, accompanies us on this occasion to discover her inexhaustible creativity, fueled by the constant search for new materials and ideas, her refined taste and passion for vintage, but above all by the tireless desire to always find new stories to tell through her unique and handcrafted necklaces.

Just like the 5VIE Fuorisalone does, her creations know how to establish new connections, between objects and materials, but above all between #people, who rediscover the pleasure of wearing jewelry pieces that aren’t just accessories, but items bearing memories, fragments of stories that carry the echo of untold adventures. Indeed, Marta is able to do so by giving a lot of attention to the true essence of the materials and stones she uses. For her, making jewelry is a matter of bringing an object to life, by disassembling and reassembling streams of beads, and  them in a way that makes their patterns and colors non-replicable.

With her brand Marta Never Too Much, founded in 2022, the designer truly creates adornments that are small pieces of art to wear, unique and original, bold and multifaceted, which absorb and multiply the energy of those who wear them.

The keyword for #martagnutti, in life and in her work, is freedom: freedom to explore, to meet #people, places, stories, to be carried away by stimuli, ideas, and suggestions: to be unbounded. But above all, freedom to express oneself, to make one's voice heard, moving on the stage of Italian and international creativity with bold lightness and imaginative concreteness.

Marta Gnutti is originally from Brescia but has mostly lived in Milan. She started her professional career in London after graduating from the London College of #fashion. Her innate aesthetic taste led her to delve into disciplines such as visual merchandising, interior and #fashion #design over the years. After a long collaboration with Loro Piana and several international brands as a #fashion designer of bags and accessories, she became passionate about the world of jewelry. Traveling all over the world allows her to identify unique pieces and vintage accessories which she reassembles herself, giving life to exclusive wearable items. Currently, Marta tailors to various projects including an educational course at the Marangoni Institute in Miami, on the impact and importance of jewelry in the context of #fashion shows.
