  • Matt Campbell on standby as Porsche Penske Motorsport’s reserve driver

The #porschepenskemotorsport works team has finalised its driver line-up for its third #porsche963 at this year’s #24hoursofLeMans. UK driver Nick Tandy and Frenchman Mathieu Jaminet join forces with Felipe Nasr from Brazil in the cockpit of the No. 75 hybrid prototype. Works driver teammate #mattcampbell from Australia supports the team at the highlight of the year as the reserve driver.

With ten starts in the world’s greatest #endurance race under his belt, Nick Tandy brings a wealth of experience. In 2015, the UK racer secured overall victory at the wheel of the Porsche 919 Hybrid. For Frenchman Mathieu Jaminet, the race in June marks the second outing on the Circuit des 24 Heures. The local hero turned his first laps in #LeMans at the wheel of the Porsche 911 RSR in 2019. Felipe Nasr, who had already been selected as the driver in the No. 75 car when entries closed for the 24-hour race, can look back on three races at the Sarthe so far.

American #danecameron, #michaelchristensen from Denmark and #frenchmanfredericmakowiecki share driving duties in the ca. 500 kW (680 PS) #porsche963 with the starting number 5. The No. 6 sister car is helmed by Kévin Estre from France, Belgium’s #laurensvanthoor as well as three-time outright #LeMans winner #AndreLotterer from Germany. The customer squad Hertz Team JOTA has nominated works driver António Félix da Costa from Portugal, Britain’s Will Stevens and Yifei Ye to drive the No. 38 car. The Chinese driver receives support from Porsche Motorsport Asia Pacific.

This year marks the 100th anniversary of the #24hoursofLeMans. The 91st edition is contested on 10/11 June. In its bid for overall victory in the new Hypercar class, Porsche faces #competition from manufacturers such as Ferrari, Cadillac, Toyota and Peugeot.
