RACE REPORT : Enduro, Trial and X-Trial was on the program for our Sherco riders this past weekend.

This weekend the #sherco team riders competed in several national championships in #enduro and #trial. Dutch/Belgium #enduro Championship:

The first round of the Belgian championship was held this weekend at Enter, the conditions were complicated because they had a lot of rain and snow the day before the race.

Antoine Magain : "I struggled to find the right rhythm during the first lap, it was hard because the track made it difficult due to the weather conditions. I was able to climb up in the rankings little by little in spite of the completely destroyed specials."

General classification: Belgian P1 scratch
Dutch P6

Portuguese #enduro Championship:

The 2nd round of the Championship was held in Tabua. On this occasion our French rider Julien Roussaly joined Morgan Lesiardo.

It was the first real #enduro race for the ex-Supercross rider. He was a little stressed by his first race in the discipline, he made a few mistakes but nothing serious. With a long and physical course, he managed to win a special on the day and finished in 3rd place in the general classification. He finished 2nd in category E2 on Saturday and Sunday.

Julien Roussaly: "Sunday was a better day for me, I was in the lead from the first lap, fighting for the victory until the end of the third lap when I hit a rock with my foot. I had to grit my teeth to finish the fourth lap. It was a good first experience, there were some nice long technical stages."

The Italian rider Morgan Lesiardo won both days in the E2 category and set the second best overall time behind Crivilin.

Morgan Lesiardo: "The weekend didn't go too badly for me, I finished 2nd overall for the two days, it was a long technical race. Unfortunately too many errors and crashes prevented me from the win, but I'm quite happy because I see the speed is there."

English #trial Championship:

Jack Peace opened the 2023 #trial season with a win and maximum points tallied. Heavy rain came to the British Championship which made the race very challenging.

Jack Peace: “This #event was very difficult due to the stormy and wet weather conditions which made the course very difficult. The mud accumulated on the rocks and the obstacles became very slippery. In these conditions the choice of tyres is essential and the feeling of the Michelin tyres gave me the necessary confidence and I knew that a good last lap would ensure victory. These tyres have once again proved vital to my success showing how they can adapt to the changing conditions we have encountered at round one.”

X-Trial Championship - Austria:

The second round of the FIM X-Trial World Championship took place in the Austrian town of Wiener Neustadt. The city had not hosted a World Championship #event since 2017.

Benoit Bincaz finished in 6th place.

"I came out of the X-Trial in Austria even more motivated than ever. I'm quite satisfied with this competition, I felt good on the bike. I was very close to the podium, I felt capable of it so I can't wait to be in Pamplona! A big thank you to the #sherco team for their efforts to ensure that I arrived in the best possible condition for this competition."
