Extra custom: art mode your own personal art piece
In the finest traditions of Venetian luxury, bespoke artisanship comes to our most famous pen design via Montegrappa Configurator. Custom-painting and engraving services offered with the Extra Custom revitalise a tradition for handcrafted heirlooms practised at our manufactory for generations.
Since making its debut a little over four years ago, #montegrappa Configurator has become the writing community's most vibrant creative space. Within its world of possibilities, total design freedom is offered on four signature silhouettes. Here, the pens created are as personal as the words they were designed to write.
Our Made by You portfolio has undergone frequent expansions since its introduction, but none more stunningly personal than the new Art Mode. Now offered for the Extra #custom, Art Mode raises the stakes, bringing brush-painted and burin-engraved expression to Italy's quintessential writing instrument.
Using Art Mode is simple. From the Configurator dashboard, click on the Barrel panel and select Art Mode, then upload your desired image and set your preferred style. Hand-painted motifs are realised by our Atelier miniaturist with breathtaking accuracy, while hand-etching brings authentic artisanal detailing to a palette of precious metals. Until now, both services have been offered only to private clients.
With this newest enhancement, Configurator edges into the realm of bespoke services. Popular motifs include family portraits and prized possessions. For gift commissions, reproductions of beloved artworks and illustrations bring prestige to portability, with each example realised as an exclusive, one-of-one edition.
Configurator's rendering engine provides a preview of your design, but before production begins, our #custom Shop Concierge will confirm all details, including a firm delivery date and an art proof for final approval. It's all the beginning of an ultra-personalised experience conceived to offer a sense of exclusivity with every single stroke.
