Complicated race for Kofler on Saturday at Portimao


Complicated race for the #cmracingteam and #maximiliankofler on Saturday at #portimao, with Max forced to settle for 23rd position. In the morning Kofler took to the track for Superpole, where he finished 26th. 
 
At 16.15 (Italian time) Race 1 got underway. Kofler again made a good start, which allowed him to recover some positions. As the race progressed - reduced to 12 laps due to delays caused by the serious accident that occurred in Supersport 300 - the young Austrian rider was unable to continue his comeback, finishing under the chequered flag in 23rd position. 
 
Tomorrow the #cmracingteam will be back on track. At 10.25 (Italian time) Kofler will be in action for the warm up, while at 13.30 the lights will go out for Race 2.

Maximilian Kofler: "It was not a positive race, despite a good start. It wasn't easy to come back up with so few laps to go: we'll try again tomorrow". 
 
Manuel Cappelletti (Team Director): "We worked hard today, but unfortunately the result did not reward us again. Tomorrow there is a new race, where we will try to get a better result".
