Naumatec Production Process

All Naumatec RIBs are designed and built using the most modern technologies and materials currently available in the market.

- Design and Engineering :
The #design and Engineering process is entirely carried out by the yard, using advanced CAD technology, from the basic sketches to the 3D surfacing ready for CNC machining.
Every detail of the boat is pre-planned at the “drafting table”, and nothing is left to chance. Design and building choices are made upon our direct experience on the racing field, were our boats exceed speeds of 80 knots.

- Construction:

The whole production process is under take place beneath the strict control of the yard that effects a truly deep quality monitoring.
All Naumatec plugs are CNC machined and this guarantees very low tolerances.
Both hull and deck are molded using the infusion process, vinylester resins and calibrated multidirectional reinforces made of glass and aramide.

Internal structures are laminated and integrated with the shells after the infusion process, to obtain a really solid product.
Hull and shell are joined by means of methacrylate adhesives and MS polymer sealants. Internal glass tabbing is used around critical spots while joining hull and deck for an all round increased rigidity.

With this kind of production process (the same used for America’s Cup boats) Naumatec is able to produce a 20-30% lighter RIB while increasing structural properties at the same time, this puts Naumatec on a very different level when compared to competitors.
Tubes are made of high density Hypalon fabrics, and are subdivided in multiple compartments for added safety in case of collision.
On the Tenderlux line, tubes are “D” shaped to enormously increase space onboard if compared to competitors.
Deck hardware as foldable cleats, fuel and water caps, handles and hauling cleats can be made of steel AISI 316, aluminum or titanium, depending on the model and customer request.
All Naumatec RIBs are built standard with electrical plant and depending on the model with water plants (see specs for each model)
Fuel tanks are made of steel or polyethilene with CE marking.

- Impact on the Environment :

Naumatec is truly committed in keeping the impact on the environment as low as possible today. All Nuamtec boats are manufactured using the lowest impact procedures available today. Styrene free resins, infusion process and filtered gases.
