Decent points haul in #Montreal: #Montreal hosted a Formula One race last weekend for the first time since 2019. The #mercedesamg PETRONAS #F1 Team achieved a respectable result in the 2022 Canadian Grand Prix staged on Île Notre-Dame. #lewishamilton booked P4 on the grid in a tricky rain-affected qualifying session and gained one place in the course of the race to eventually cross the line in third position and to secure his second podium of the year, the other one having come in the Bahrain season opener. His team‑mate #georgerussell was the only driver to switch to slick tyres in Q3, but the gamble did not pay off, and he had to settle for P8 on the grid. From there, he made several smart overtakes to cross the finish line immediately behind Lewis in fourth. Both drivers took advantage of virtual safety cars with the timing of their pit stops, and they extracted the maximum with an impressive display of pace. From Canada, the team returns to Europe for its home race at Silverstone in early July.

Overall victory and podium finish for the AKKODIS ASP team at #circuitzandvoort: Timur Boguslavskiy (FIA) and Raffaele Marciello (SUI) claimed their third win of the season in Round 3 of the #gtworldchallengeeuropesprintcup. Just like at Brands Hatch and Magny-Cours, the AKKODIS ASP duo, who share the cockpit of the number 89 #mercedesamg GT3, saved their best for Sunday's one-hour race. This third win in six races has Boguslavskiy and Marciello breathing down the necks of the current leaders in the drivers' championship, whom they trail by a mere half point. Thanks to the P2 finish of their AKKODIS ASP team-mates Jules Gounon and Jim Pla (both FRA) in the number 88 sister the day before, the French outfit emerges from the weekend still holding the lead in the team standings. The next two rounds of the #gtworldchallengeeuropesprintcup will be contested on 2nd and 3rd July at the Misano World Circuit.

Four Top Ten finishes on #DTM debut at #Imola: In the first ever #DTM race to be hosted by the Autodromo Enzo e Dino Ferrari at #Imola, the #mercedesamg Customer #racing teams achieved four placings in the Top Ten and accumulated further vital championship points. After a disappointing first race on Saturday, which ended with Maro Engel (GER) of #mercedesamg Team GruppeM #racing finishing in P10 as the best-placed #mercedesamg driver, things went somewhat better on Sunday, despite sweltering temperatures well above the 30°C mark. Having arrived in Italy for the third event of the season occupying third place in the championship, #mercedesamg Team WINWARD's #lucasauer (AUT) looked to be on course for a podium for most of the race but ultimately had to content himself with fourth. Maro Engel crossed the finish line in seventh place, while last year's champion Maximilian Götz (GER) of #mercedesamg Team WINWARD #racing scored two points towards the defence of his title for ninth place.

The historical circuit in Emilia-Romagna also hosted its first ever #DTMtrophy contest. In Sunday's 30-minute race of the support series, Edouard Cauhaupé (FRA) of BWT Mücke Motorsport made a podium appearance for third place.

Overall wins and podiums at #virginiainternationalraceway: No fewer than three race series - GT World Challenge America, #gt4america and GT America - were on the bill at #virginiainternationalraceway last weekend. In Sunday's 90-minute GT World Challenge America race, Colin Braun and George Kurtz (both USA) in the number 4 #mercedesamg GT3 of CrowdStrike #racing by Riley Motorsports took second place to crown an all-round successful race weekend for the team. Kurtz also competed as a solo driver in the #04 car in both GT America races, finishing first in each. Gavin Sanders (CAN) and Michai Stephens (USA) lifted two trophies for their performance in the #34 #mercedesamg GT4: the Conquest #racing / JWF Motorsport duo first took the runner-up spot in Saturday's #gt4america race before going on to claim overall victory on Sunday. Also making it onto the podium were Cole Ciraulo and Kris Wilson (both USA) in the number 32 Capstone Motorsports GT4, who finished third in Saturday's race.

Worthwhile guest appearance for Haupt #racing in the #internationalgtopen: At the Circuit de #spafrancorchamps, the #internationalgtopen departed from its customary format of two sprint races this weekend, substituting them with a 140-minute endurance race. The Haupt #racing team, who are better known for their involvement in the #DTM and the GT World Challenge, relished the opportunity to compete as guest starters. In a chaotic debut race punctuated by numerous incidents, Frank Bird (GBR) and Jordan Love (AUS) driving the number 4 #mercedesamg GT3 improved from sixth on the grid to secure an impressive second place in the general classification. Kiki Sak Nana (THA) and Adam Osieka (GER) in the #786 #mercedesamg GT3 fielded by GetSpeed also contributed a first win of the season in the AM classification.

Mercedes-AMG E-Sports Teams celebrate quintuple success at Watkins Glen: The new #mercedesamg GT3 went into virtual action for the first time in the fifth iRacing Special Event of the year at Watkins Glen International. In its debut on the iRacing simulation platform, the Evo model immediately established itself as the car to beat, monopolising the first five places at the end of the six-hour race duration. #mercedesamg E-Sports Team Williams #eSports in the shape of Louis Nahser (GER) and Daniel Pasztor (SVK) took victory in the Watkins Glen 6H, while #mercedesamg E-Sports Team URANO #eSports secured second and fourth place. Logitech G Altus #eSports Blue made it onto the podium in third place, while Puresims #eSports finished fifth to complete an impressive quintuple.
