The international Rolling Stones exhibition is coming back to the Netherlands next year. The #groningermuseum will host The Rolling Stones – Unzipped from July 2023. Tickets go on sale in March. Museumgoers can sign up at www.rollingstonesgroningen.nl to be notified when the exhibition dates are announced.
Unzipped takes visitors on a trip through the incredible highlights of the rock 'n' roll band's career, ending with a spectacular audiovisual experience. The show boasts more than 400 original objects from the Stones' own collection, including instruments, stage designs and album covers as well as iconic costumes, personal diaries and rare audio fragments and video footage.
A highlight is a reconstruction of the band's old studio and modest flat in London's Edith Grove, accurate down to the cigarette butts. The drum kit owned by band member Charlie Watts, who died in 2021, will also be on view in the middle of one of the galleries.
The #groningermuseum previously hosted Unzipped in 2020 but was forced to close after four weeks because of coronavirus restrictions, disappointing many fans. The museum is pleased to be able to offer everyone another opportunity to see the show.
