Driven by champions: Rebellion Timepieces unveils special editions inspired by Valtteri Bottas and Zhou Guanyu
Hinwil, 26 May 2022 – The Official Timing Partner of #alfaromeof1teamorlen, #rebelliontimepieces, has unveiled two limited edition pieces inspired by the team’s drivers, #valtteribottas and #zhouguanyu, to mark the first Monaco Grand Prix of this #partnership. Each model, limited to 50 pieces, incorporates a part of the drivers’ C42 cars and, to remark on the uniqueness of these items, will be presented to new purchasers by the drivers themselves during an exclusive dinner at the #alfaromeof1teamorlen headquarters in Hinwil, Switzerland.
The RE-Volt #valtteribottas C42 and RE-Volt #zhouguanyu C42, as the timepieces are known, embody the adrenaline of the race and of the daring exploits of the drivers. Featuring sculptural cases machined in coloured carbon in the hues of the two drivers’ national flags, a tinted seconds disc recalling the wheel covers of their #racing car and the precision of the self-winding #rebelliontimepieces caliber, these are truly unique pieces
To underline the special character of this limited production, the signatures of #valtteribottas and #zhouguanyu decorate the sapphire crystal, the back of the casing is embellished with the logo of #alfaromeof1teamorlen and, in an absolute first for the team and #rebelliontimepieces, a fragment of the cars’ bodywork is embedded in each specimen. A piece of the rear wing of Valtteri’s C42 will be featured in the timepiece inspired by the Finn, while the Zhou-themed one will include a piece of the car’s sidepod, with all the specimens coming with a certificate of authenticity issued by #alfaromeof1teamorlen and #rebelliontimepieces, attesting to the provenance of the piece.
As with all of its products, #rebelliontimepieces will offer the opportunity to make the RE-Volt #valtteribottas C42 and RE-Volt #zhouguanyu C42 truly one’s own with an extra touch of personalization. Every item can be adapted to the style of each individual with a wide choice of strap colors and materials, in Napaskiak stamped with the Team logo and closed with a Velcro® buckle or in rubber finished with a folding clasp.
More than just a watch, #rebelliontimepieces and #alfaromeof1teamorlen are offering a unique and unforgettable experience to the buyers of the RE-Volt #valtteribottas C42 and RE-Volt #zhouguanyu C42. Each of the owners will be invited to a special event: a visit to the #rebelliontimepieces and Rebellion Motors workshops and to the #alfaromeof1teamorlen factory in Hinwil. The wind tunnel, where the aerodynamics of the cars are tested and developed, will be the unexpected setting for a memorable dinner. The highlight of this VIP event will be the handover of the watches to their owners by #valtteribottas and #zhouguanyu themselves.
