Valencia, March 10th 2022.- Albert, named after the scientist Albert Einstein is Alegre Design’s new chair for Colombian education. Commissioned by Kassani, a specialist in #interiordesign and furniture for #educational and training spaces, Albert strictly complies with the technical specifications required for projects by the Colombian National Training Service (SENA).

A solution that is robust, efficient and light enough to adapt to active teaching processes in which participation, creativity, collaboration and the use of technology are, and will, continue to be of the utmost importance », explains #marceloalegre, Alere Design’s founder and CEO.

Albert is a high-performance chair, created from thermoplastic injection that incorporates a metallic exoskeleton that enhaces the adjustment of the plastic backrest to the body. It fosters comfortable sitting in any posture: whether in the working position, inverted or sideways.

Albert is a program that has been designed from a global point of view as a result of intensive research into new teaching methodologies and exhaustive development and industrial #design work to adjust every technical detail of the project to official requirements: measurements, characteristics, materials, textures, welding and machinery necessary for its production, among others.

« User comfort is at the heart of this project, in line with our brand’s philosophy. To this end, both European and Colombian ergonomic regulations have been meticulously studied to strike a balance between safety criteria and the applicable percentiles, in terms of the height and physical characteristics of the #people who will be using the chairs. We have defined three different sizes for Albert, so it can accompany students from infancy to University », highlights #marceloalegre.

Albert’s wide range of customisation options means that it can respond to all the needs of learning environments in a transversal manner. The accessories and combination possibilities are almost infinite: castors, lower shelves, cantilever and tablet arms are just some of the options available. Albert's stool version provides solutions for laboratories and research spaces.

Alegre #design is a specialist in #design and engineering solutions for #educational spaces. Two of its latest designs – Actiu’s hoistable Talent table and Federico Giner’s DIDA chair – have both received European accolades. Talent has been selected as a finalist by the 2021 DesignAwards organized by the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) whereas DIDA has received a 2021 European Product #design Award.
