Endurance World Champions Yoshimura SERT Motul were celebrated at the weekend’s prestigious FIM Awards Ceremony in Monaco.
Along with all 2021 World Champions present, the prestigious event also included the best of all 2020 disciples after last year’s event was halted due to the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic.
Yoshimura SERT Motul Team Director Yohei Kato, Team Manager Damien Saulnier and riders of the world-beating GSX-R1000R Suzuki, Gregg Black, Sylvain Guintoli and Xavier Simeon took to the stage in front of 600 guests to receive their gold medals. Former team member Etienne Masson also joined in to accept his medal for SERT’s 2020 EWC victory.
The event also, and importantly, honoured Yoshimura Japan President, Mr Fujio Yoshimura, in recognition of his international active role in the practice, promotion and development of motorcycling. Mr Yoshimura was honoured with the ‘Gold Medal Nicolas Rodin del Valle’ and received this accolade from FIM President Jorge Viegas.
