RACE EVOLUTION, RACE PISTONS FOR 2-STROKE OFF-ROAD BIKES

Vertex Pistons offers on the off-road market a range of high performance pistons for 2-stroke motorcycles, the Race Evolution pistons.

These pistons, developed in the championships, starting from the world one, thanks to the collaboration with numerous and winning motocross and enduro teams, stand out from the other product lines by reduced top land, 0.8 mm special ring, special MoS2 coating featured by specific pockets to facilitate cylinder/piston smoothness and a dedicated racing profile. Features that make these #vertex pistons particularly performing and at the same time very reliable in every race circuit.

The Evo line has been updated to the 2022 cross and enduro models. 

GP-RACER'S CHOICE AND 4T #offroad PISTONS

Vertex Pistons is world-renowned for its off-road pistons, in particular for the GP-Racer’s Choice model, which is the piston chosen by the World and European champions of motocross, enduro and supermoto.

At the top of #vertex Pistons 4-stroke off-road production, the GP-racer’s choice is hot forged with high resistance VP-310 alloy, equipped with the T-Bridge exclusive machined inspired by F1, DLC coated pin, rings in chromed or nitrated steel depending on the application and it stands out for the exclusive shape of the head that allows guarantee excellent performance without any loss of reliability.

To demonstrate how much this piston model is decisive for increasing the performance and safety of motorcycles, there are the many new titles won also in 2021.

In fact, in the season just ended, #vertex Pistons dominated the motocross world championship by winning the MX2 titles of champion with Maxime Renaux and vice-champion with Jago Geerts, both riders of the Monster Energy Yamaha Factory MX2 team. Then, it conquered the second and third world championship place in the MXGP, respectively with Romain Febvre of the Monster Energy KRT team and with the multiple world champion Tim Gajser, rider of the Honda HRC team. In the WMX it won the vice-champion title with Nancy Van de Ven of the Ghidinelli Racing team and the third step of the podium with Kiara Fontanesi of the MX Fonta Racing team, who also won the title of 2021 Italian champion. Other successes in the last motocross season were achieved by Romain Febvre again, who became champion at the Internazionali d'Italia in the MX1 and Supercampione classes, and by Alessandro Lupino of the MRT Racing KTM team, who became Italian champion of the Prestige Elite MX1 class. Added to these are the titles won in the European championship, where the #vertex pistons were highlighted with the victory of Valerio Lata of the KTM Marchetti Racing team in the EMX125 and the second place of Kevin Horgmo of the GASGAS SM Action team in the EMX250.

Vertex Pistons then scored excellent results in world enduro, with 6 titles won: Brad Freeman of the Beta Factory team became world champion of Enduro GP and E3, Matteo Pavoni of the TM Boano Factory team won the Junior and J2 world champion titles, Lorenzo Macoritto, of the TM Boano Factory team too, became champion in EJ1 and Albin Norrbin of the Fantic D'Arpa Racing team won the EY title. Finally, new successes were also achieved in SuperMoto with Marc Reiner Schmidt and Thomas Chareyre, riders of the L30-Tm Racing team, with which #vertex Pistons earned the S1Gp world champion and vice-champion titles respectively.

In addition to the GP-Racer's Choice model, the range of 4-stroke off-road pistons is completed by the hi-tech Replica, High Compression and Big Bore models, all characterized by a molybdenum disulfide coating to enhance smoothness and wear resistance, each equipped with own and specific features that respectively guarantee a perfect replacement of standard pistons with an excellent quality/price ratio, an increase in the compression ratio which improves power and torque and an increase in displacement which greatly improve performances.

The off-road 4-stroke #vertex pistons range has been updated to the cross, enduro and supermotard 2022 models and is available for Beta enduro motorcycles in the 350/390/430/480 RR versions, for the whole KTM, Husqvarna and GasGas range, as well as for Honda CRF 250/450, Kawasaki KX 250/450 F, Yamaha YZ 250/450 F and Suzuki RM-Z 250/450.
