House with a View: the furniture designed by VMaison dialogues with the breathtaking view over the Sicilian coast

From the #design project to the complete supply: VMaison completes on the northeastern coast of Sicily the restyling of a Villa between the sea and the Sicilian inland, a location designed to enjoy slow rhythms and to awake senses and emotions.

The result of a recent renovation, the domestic refuge perched on a cliff opens with large full-wall windows that frame the sea. To create a fluid dialogue with the landscape in which the villa is immersed, VMaison conceived a concept that would translate into a complete restyling of all indoor and outdoor environments. 

As a matter of fact, what characterizes the brand making it unique is its all-round planning.

Once the “mood” is defined, VMaison supports the customer at 360 degrees: from the architecture to the supervision in the construction site, through the #design, production and setting up of custom-made furniture.

Upholstered furniture, bookcases, wallpapers, consoles, tables and coffee tables, outdoor furniture, bathroom accessories, boiserie, moldings, lamps: everything has been studied in detail by Veronica Zimbaro, founder and soul of the project, and made by expert craftsmen.

The result is a sequence of warm environments and eclectic atmospheres, filled with the pop decor mood that distinguishes the brand. The main palette uses light colors, which enhance the brightness of the environments and the sinuous shapes of the furniture designed for the villa. The fil rouge that connects the rooms to the Mediterranean landscape is the intense blue shade that has been chosen for chairs, cushions and accessories.

The ground floor, surrounded by two large terraces, opens on the sea thanks to a large living room with different areas designed for relaxation and conviviality.

Protagonists of the space are the large rectangular table in natural wood - perfect for hosting long lunch and dinner parties -, the oak buffet console in brushed brass finish and the chairs in natural colored linone fabric.

The living area is also completed by a small sitting room furnished with two elegant

swivel armchairs in the shades of beige, a kilim carpet and a glass and nickel coffee table.

Adjacent to the living room, in a separate area, there is the office: a small private corner, well furnished with elements like the brushed brass lamp in black metal and brushed brass finish and the armchair in natural panama fabric.

On the ground floor, on the east side of the house, there is the customized kitchen. Around the big island that extends in the center of the room, the Ottavio velvet bar stools are embellished by the detail of the black wood and the brushed brass legs. 

On the upper floor, for the night area VMaison has designed a sumptuous bed

in natural color linone fabric. The look & feel of the room is made even more welcoming and comfortable by the choice of velvet in the upholstered bench and the decorative pillows.

The whole house develops around the outdoor project: it was fundamental to create in the terraces a styling project that enhanced the tones and the shades of the surrounding landscape, embracing the sea without hiding it. The outdoor furniture - tables, sofas and chairs - is made in teak, a material that is not ruined by the sun and the sea salt.

VMaison accomplishes another project where #veronicazimbaro expresses all her creativity and her strongly contemporary flair in her originary land, Sicily.
