october 06, 2021 - Franchi Umberto Marmi

Franchi Umberto Marmi at Marmomac 2021: a physical return to the trade fair with a focus on ‘sustainability’ and new collections.

This is a particularly important edition of Marmomac which marks the first step towards the phygital and stands out as a symbol of restart for the entire marble community. Franchi Umberto Marmi steals the show with a dynamic exhibition area full of news, designed by Eugenio Biselli of Interninow.

The new products, resulting from Luca Dini’s creativity applied to Franchi Umberto Marmi’s marbles, are integrated in the stand as in a gallery, with the aim of illustrating the project on marble sustainability. This project is involving the company fully and it will be represented in the stand through drawings and sketches printed directly on the marble slabs being the protagonists of the story.

This is an important project in which Franchi Umberto Marmi is investing a lot of resources and which complies with the essential rules regarding the lowest CO2 emissions possible into the atmosphere, the ‘not throwing away’ of wastes produced throughout the production cycle and the responsible implementation of the second marble supply chain regarding residues.

On the projects/products side, the presentation of the new collections ‘Cubic’ and ‘Spheric’, designed by the architect Luca Dini, represents a great innovation. It is an original and contemporary reinterpretation of Carrara marble, aiming at bringing these innovations both in outdoor and indoor contexts and also in mega-yachts and exclusive marinas. These elements stand out for their refinement and for being able to celebrate the tradition of Carrara marble
through a luxury-oriented #design.

The collection’s iconic pieces, defining the external layout of the stand, are three, positioned on marble bases surrounded by green elements evoking nature and exhibited like in a museum.
