ON STAGE
Salone del Mobile is back with an unprecedented format and so is the proposal by #cattelan Italia, which narrates the products and the company through an exceptional scenography. By accepting the challenge launched by architect Boeri, instead of the usual stand which recreates rooms and living spaces, #cattelan Italia stages a museum-like setting.
The composition is inspired by a famous work by Kandinsky, in which the canvas is divided by shapes and colors like a rhythmic score, becoming a theater scenography. #cattelan Italia layered exhibition space allows you to appreciate the melody with an overall point of view only. The painter signs are replaced by the showcased furnishings, the background wall frames products and graphics altogether. The setting is to be admired as a whole, just like an artwork, in which the main subjects are the impactful novelty products, matched with iconic company pieces. It allows to express the unique style and the great quality of #cattelan Italia.
BUTTERFLY TABLE
The protagonist of the new proposals is the BUTTERFLY #table designed by Nucleo+ studio. It is impossible not to notice the sinuous architecture of the steel base, which gives the dining room a sculpture-like style and a reference to natural elegance. The glass top is laid on the base. Its fragile appearance creates a contrast with the bold and revolutionary combination of curves and edges. In the BUTTERFLY KERAMIK version the #table is further embellished by the Marmi ceramic top. The base of both versions is available in titanium or bronze embossed, Brushed Bronze or Brushed Grey lacquered steel.
NASDAQ KERAMIK DESK
The NASDAQ KERAMIK desk is a composition of geometric shapes and materials, with a monolith effect. The wooden drawer challenges gravity, laid on the steel leg, which slashes the space with a powerful diagonal. Between the top and the side, the finish of the Marmi ceramic top has a continuous vein that enhances the architectural identity of the desk. The structure and the drawer unit are available in Canaletto walnut, Heritage oak or open pore matt black Elm. A leather pad as per sample card is also available.
CHAIRS
Paolo #cattelan designs two new seatings: ITALIA and BOMBÈ.
The ITALIA chair has a clean and refined #design. The model is soft and comfortable, thanks to the padded cushion lightly laid on the backrest. The legs and seat express rigor and sobriety, the structure is made of steel entirely upholstered in fabric, leather or synthetic leather.The ITALIA COUTURE version is decorated by a quilted seatback cover. Both seats are also produced with armrests.
The main feature of the BOMBÈ family of swivel chairs is the rounded bucket seat. This dining chair claims its space and its importance, becoming the eye catching element of the living room. The swivel base, in walnut or oak stained ash, or lacquered in bronze or titanium, makes it a comfortable, solid and functional seat. The BOMBÈ X model is the ideal comfortable office seat, it has a 4 spokes base in titanium, bronze, graphite or black embossed lacquered steel.
The setting is completed by the stunning AIRPORT bookcase, designed by Giorgio #cattelan, finished in burned oak and graphite, the SPIGA sideboard, with a strong three-dimensional decoration, finished in Brushed Bronze and graphite, and the EMERALD MAGNUM mirror with fumé glass.
The Brushed family stands out among the new finishes. Already presented in the Brushed Brass and Brushed Bronze versions, it is now produced in the BRUSHED GREY version. The three available shades, which recall the elements of gold, bronze and iron, have a brushed effect that enhances the reflections of lights on the sculptural surfaces. Another novelty is the BRONZE EMBOSSED LACQUERED finish, darker than the titianium embossed finish, with a glossy effect and a rough touch.
3 new Marmi ceramics add up to the Keramik range: BRECCIA, pearly and bright ceramic with golden veins, ARENAL with bright gray base and light veins, and ZEFIRO, a natural pattern with black, gray and bronze nuances. Eventually, among the leathers, the main novelty is the GLOVE LEATHER, produced in 9 colors. The soft and silky hand, the bright colors and the high resistance and elasticity performances, make of this material an excellent, high quality upholstery.
