Sahrai presents Italian Summer Vibes, a tribute to Italy and its summer colours.

Sahrai’s journey will begin on July 1st and will end the last week of August, stopping by some of the most fascinating places on the peninsula, to which the Brand will pay tribute by offering a tripartite selection of Rugs inspired by the suggestions of the most beautiful, most dreamed season: Summer. The blue of the clear sky, of the sea wrapped in the embrace of a hidden cove, the bright white of the walls in a narrow alley, and then the taste of salt, the sound of the wind shaking the trees, the scent of citrus fruits, the image of the mountains reflected on the smooth surface of a lake, broken by the wake of an elegant motorboat: memories, sensations, emotions, which transport each of us to places we have visited, experienced, or which we simply dream of going to, of discovering; but also a source of inspiration for some of Sahrai’s Rugs, inspired by the natural and architectural beauties of a country, Italy, which the Brand has long chosen as its home.

Italian Summer Vibes is a journey between dream and reality, made up of four stops, each lasting two weeks, in which to immerse yourself with #sahrai in some of the most iconic locations of the most beautiful country in the world.

Each stop offers a selection of Rugs, dedicated to those who do not want to cease traveling, at least with the mind, and wish to recreate the atmosphere of those magical places within their home: snapshots, which depict natural elements or architectural forms, capable of stopping time and space, imprisoning small fragments of Summer.

The Rugs, part of different #sahrai collections, combine with great balance two diametrically opposed concepts: simplicity and richness. The first, evident in the choice of lines, geometries and geometric patterns; the second, daughter of the mastery with which the works are made, by hand, by master weavers, fully respecting the most sophisticated craftsmanship, and the pursuit of #excellence, in every detail, in pure #sahrai style.

Italian Summer Vibes begins with a stay on the shores of a lake, between mountain slopes with rounded peaks, whose shores are characterised by elegant residences that disguise breathtaking beauties. From Lake Como to Lake Maggiore, passing through Garda, to discover places of subtle charm, often conceived as a refuge, as a shelter, from the racket of modern life, or as an escape from the anguish of the soul. At the center of the selection dedicated to the first stop of the journey is Reflection in Blue, a Rug made in collaboration with Christian Hetzel, belonging to Sahrai’s Artists Selection Collection. The Rug is born from the observation of nature, translated into an abstract language, in which the textures dear to the artist stand out, enhanced by the embossment dominated by rich shades of turquoise and blue. The Rug is made of wool and viscose, with viscose embossment.

The journey then goes on to discover the wonders of the coasts: from the famous square of Portofino to the Cinque Terre, once known only for the simple fishing villages, whose colourful
houses stood among the vineyards, clinging to the steep terraces. And then down the Peninsula,
among the breathtaking beauties of Amalfi, Ravello and Vietri. The Agata Rose Laguna Rug, created with David Elia, from the Artists Selection Collection stands out in this selection. Inspired by the famous Brazilian stones of volcanic origin, the agates, whose peculiarity is represented by the absolute uniqueness of the colours and the circular streaks of each. The #design of the Rug develops through spirals of bright colours, among which bright shades of pink stand out. The Rug, made of wool and bamboo silk, was produced in a limited edition of only six samples.

The third part of the journey starts from Sicily, passing through Puglia and then stopping in Capri,
the pearl of the Mediterranean. #sahrai invites us to immerse ourselves in three extraordinary places,
so different from each other, united by a universally recognized beauty, which is unrivalled in the world.

At the center of this part of the journey is the Summertime Rug which belongs to the Underwater
Life collection, made with a hand-quilted finish, in silk and wool, with silk embossment. Available in 5 colours, or even customisable as desired by the customer, by selecting the preferred shade, the Rug depicts a palm leaf lying on a cream-coloured surface.

Italian Summer Vibes ends amongst the Tuscan hills, in a scenic alternation of meadows and  vineyards, interrupted here and there by rows of cypresses, which indicate the way to reach a farmhouse, or an elegant patrician residence.

Representing the selection combined with the last stop of the journey is Alexandria, a contemporary
design Rug belonging to the Milano Collection, in which the central medallion stands out, surrounded by a pattern enhanced by shades proposed in 6 different shades.
