Andrew Salgado: in the springtime we’ll go dancing

Andrew Salgado returns with an online exhibit of works on paper, entitled In the Springtime We'll Go Dancing.

The title contains only a slight nod to the worldwide pandemic, but instead chooses to emphasize ideas of hope and optimism.

The works contain similar effusiveness: strong colours, loud patterns, and images of mostly nude youth in leisure and reverie.

There is a sense of longing, too, for histories both real and imagined.

Greatly inspired by the artist's affinity for literature, the works seem to weave through a dreamlike and seductive narrative with a number of his trademark flourishes: curling smoke, revealing drapes, and low-hanging moons.

We are very excited to present these works to you in an exclusively online format from 18th March. Including an INSTAGRAM LIVE GMT from 16h00 on the same day.
