Press conference on line - Miquel Barceló. Metamorphosis

On the occasion of the presentation of the exhibition MIQUEL BARCELÓ. METAMORPHOSIS that will be shown at the Museo Picasso Málaga from January 27 to September 2021, and given the current circumstances, the museum is evaluating the possibility of holding an #online broadcast press conference with the artist next Monday, January 25 at 11am (GMT +2 Central European Time).

Museo Picasso Málaga presents Miquel Barceló. Metamorphosis, an exhibition that takes its name from Franz Kafka's famous story, published in 1915. The show comprises almost 100 works made between 2014 and 2020: 30 ceramics, 13 paintings, 42 watercolours, 6 travel logs and a small sculpture, along with an installation comprising 7 large bronzes. Mutation, mobility and transition are just some the characteristics of the Majorcan artist's work, and his creative world corroborates his permanent metamorphosis since the beginning of his career. The passage of time and material alchemy are prominent elements in the theme of the exhibition.
The in-person press conference will be attended by Patricia del Pozo, Minister of Culture of the Junta de Andalucía and President of the Board of Trustees of the Museo Picasso Málaga; Bernard Ruiz-Picasso, President of the Executive Council of the Museo Picasso Málaga; Miquel Barceló, artist; Enrique Juncosa, curator of the exhibition, José Lebrero, artistic director of the Museo Picasso Málaga; and Juan Ignacio Zafra, Territorial Director of Caixabank in Eastern Andalusia and Murcia, collaborators.
The event will take place next Monday, January 25 at 11am, at the Museo Picasso Málaga, with the presence of the city's media.
