Noire armchair | Bugatti Home

The Bugatti identity embodies the #design of the new Noire armchair, a tribute to the French automotive history.
Originally launched in 2016, the #bugattihome collection is ushering in a new era with the #noirearmchair. An unprecedented, exclusive and iconic project that includes some of the most important contemporary architects and designers. The first chapter of the project, Noire, is designed by the French architect #chafikgasmi.

An iconic armchair, which represents a unique kind of #luxury not only with its exceptional refinement of materials, but also with its extreme research for details. Noire is indeed inspired by the spectacular elegance of the car, as seen in its profile and unlike any other, conjure/identifies the spirit of Jean Bugatti: the legendary Type 57 SC Atlantic Coupé.

The sinuous and aerodynamic curves of the Noire trace Bugatti's history from its origins to the most recent hyper sport cars. The stylistic elements of the iconic Voiture Noire, a modern re-interpretation of the Type 57 SC Atlantic Coupé, inspire the details of the armchair designed by Chafik. Starting from the dorsal "fin" of the supercar, reinterpreted on the backrest through to the unmistakable lines of the Bugatti radiator suggested in the Noire shell.

Identifying details of the brand flow emotionally, which from the extraordinary Bugatti dream arrives, following curves and precious materials, up to an exclusive contemporary residence.
The #noirearmchair has been unveiled in Milan during the Inspire #design event (from September 28th to October 10th) and displayed in a special installation at the #luxury Living Group showroom, via Durini 25-27.

Bugatti

Bugatti is the brand of a family of artists who distinguished themselves at a time when other carmakers were run by entrepreneurs with a largely technical background. The company founder, Ettore Bugatti, who was born and grew up in Milan, Italy, succeeded in combining this artistic approach with his technical innovations, paving the way for the #design language that was to go on to forge the Bugatti brand. The result was a series of cars that were truly state of the art for the times, and which today number amongst the most prestigious classic cars in the world. The brand’s key philosophy: "if it is comparable, it is no longer Bugatti", describes its charisma. Bugatti, which has maintained its headquarters in Molsheim (Alsace, France) where the brand was established over 100 years ago, is today an ingenious combination of the artistic roots of its Italian founders, the acute sensitivity of the French for exclusive #luxury products and brands and the internationally famed supremacy of the Germans in engineering and technology. The development of the Bugatti Veyron represented one of the greatest technological challenges in motorcar history. The Bugatti Chiron, the most powerful, fastest and the most luxurious and exclusive sports car in the world, of which only 500 examples were produced, made its debut at the 86th Geneva International Motor show. With a power output of 1,500 HP, unprecedented for production vehicles, an exceptionally high torque value of 1,600 Nm and a vast array of technical innovations, the Chiron is setting new standards in every field. In 2018 Bugatti raised the standard with the Divo, the most agile and dynamic motorcar that Bugatti has ever created. Production will be strictly limited to just 40 units. Representing a new interpretation of the philosophy "form follows performance", with uncompromising research into maximum aerodynamic efficiency, the One Off Bugatti, the “Voiture Noire”, of which only one was produced, was showcased at the 2019 Geneva Motor Show. A pioneering spirit, passion for perfection and the desire to continuously redefine its limits have been the key characteristics of Bugatti ever since it was founded 110 years ago. None of the brand’s masterpieces reflect these values more convincingly that the SC Type 57 Atlantic. Created by Ettore Bugatti’s eldest son Jean, the only four Atlantics ever created represent pure elegance and refinement. Paying tribute to the fourth all black Atlantic, which has been missing since the Second World War, Bugatti is bringing the speed, technology, #luxury and aesthetics of an icon into a new era. But the customised creation of "La Voiture Noire" is much more than a modern interpretation of the grand tourer’s ghost. "La Voiture Noire" is a tribute to the history of Bugatti, a manifestation of Bugatti aesthetics and a piece of automobile haute couture. October 2013 on the other hand marked the launch of the Lifestyle collection bearing the Bugatti signature and the grand debut of the brand’s expansion strategy. Bugatti, always a symbol of state-of-the-art technology and record-breaking performance, is true to the motto form follows performance.
